The nun who taught me never to praise myself must be turning in her grave because I no longer find it odd to praise myself (. There are hardly any trumpeters around anyway who I could depend on to blow for me and so I blow my own It cannot be worse than asking friends and family to visit your page and give a positive comment to your creations. What say?

I think people should praise themselves but not to a point of narcissism of course. I think you need to like yourself in order to have a happy life. If you don't like yourself you become pretty miserable which in turn causes depression and other issues. A good pat on the back if never a bad thing. I pat myself on my back every day for giving up smoking after way toooo many years. So yes, I agree with you.

These days kash, everyone is buried in their own world that they do not have time to watch others and talk about their achievements. This indeed is not a happy trend but that is life.

I always give credit where credit is due. I'm not like the people you are talking about because I will cheer on someone who has achieved their goal. Even if they are on the way to achieve their goal, I will keep telling them...great job, great job! My kids and my good friends always tell me how great I'm doing on the not smoking subject, and I appreciate it immensely...it keeps me going. But I do know what you're talking about with most people and it is sad.

I too give credit where it is due. Did I not call you a 'brain' and that too twice?
