I used to come to the office on a simple office attire. A pants and a jacket is my usual get up. Today, I came on a dress and everyone says that I look good on it. Well, I did realize that it is actually good to try something different for a time. I didn't know that it would turn out to be good but it is maybe because that they were really used to that same boring get up that I usually had at work. Anyway, it feels good to hear compliments from people. What about you guys, do you have the same experience? Care to share...

Hello pretty Shello... anyway, I have a friend and office mate here who come with all the attire (dress) at work, and even she is pregnant, she is still on the go for her fashion. Anyway, the first we meet here last year when she was hired, we were not really used to it because most employees here have the same get up everyday, and it looks really ordinary, when she started, she appears really famous to us guys here! lol

My office mates are all males, so they told me to wear a dress at all times cause I'm the only lady in our department. Hmmm...But it's uncomfortable, I guess. Anyway, yeah, you are right. When you wear the same get up everyday, everything seems to be so ordinary and constant. That's why when a wore a dress yesterday they seems so surprise and it seems to be a big deal for them seeing me wearing a dress.

I remember when I was a telemarketer and we would dress casually. One day our sales were dropping, so our manager said we needed to dress more professional. Of course, we're all like nobody can see us over the phone what difference does it make. So, of course we dressed up, I wore a skirt and a nice shirt, jewelry, make up, the whole 9 yards. It did work, because our sales went up. So I guess no matter what kind of a job you have dressing up gives you confidence. Also, I would dress up when I worked at a motel, the rest of the people dressed in pants/jeans and a nice shirt. I wore skirts or dresses and I looked professional when I was checking in people, even though it wasn't the classiest of motels.

Hi jodee. Yeah, you are right. The way you present yourself to people does matter a lot. I wish to dress up also but it is really awkward to be in a dress while fixing some stuff like computers and everything. Though I'm not into such task at all times but I don't want to be in such an uncomfortable situation, carrying IT stuff in a long heels and all. Cheers!

Hi, Shello! When I was younger I do wear pants a lot. I said that time I was comfortable wearing one; however, when I got older, I realize that many would give me more respect as a lady when I am wearing a dress. Specially if it is modest and very corporate in look. So, since then I balance my wardrobe into dresses, skirts, blouses and pants.

How I wish I could do that also. But there are really times in my work when I don't have any choice but to assist people technically. Not most of the time but there are really instances that I'll have to check a system unit under someone's table so I'll have to stoop down and It would be very uncomfortable to do that when you're wearing a dress. Yesterday, I was able to wore one since I'm sure that I won't be doing any technical task because of a scheduled whole day conference. Cheers!
