A boring subject...

When I was still a high school student, I didn't like Science. I don't know why. I guess it was because of our teacher. Our Science Teacher was very intelligent. She graduated with a very high distinction. However, she didn't get much of our attention during her class. She was so kind so we were a bit abusive. I guess a teacher should know how to get children's attention. She should know some strategies to keep them listening to her. I considered her class a boring one. Fellow mylotters, did you have a boring class when you were still a student? Feel free to share your thoughts about it. Happy mylotting.

i love science but what i hate math subject... oh yes, there is no a boring subject but a teacher, there is. the excitement or the interest of the students will be enhanced through strategies being used by the teacher. if one strategy is not working, she should seek one way or another to make the class lively and at the same time can capture the interests of all to participate. so if they participate there would be a chance for them to learn and to remember the subject they are interested in. motivation is very important in learning. all of the teachers knew that. :) thanks

Yes, I agree with you. Motivation plays a very large role in teaching-learning process. All teachers know how but sometimes children are a bit stubborn. So teachers should be clever enough to think of positive alternatives how to get their students' attention. Thanks for posting and happy mylotting.

a new curriculum being implemented today is that student centered learning processes and not teacher centered strategy. this strategy enhancing all the learners learning ability of every aspect that is why even how stubborn they would be, they have this right to act like that because deped believed that in there is motivation of learning in that which they can sought within the students inner self. then, it is the role of the teacher how to pacify it by exercising it more until the student can realize his skill or ability. for example, one student like talking. so his ability could be traced more on talking. this thing would be enhanced by thorough practising like of reading aloud or oral activities and such. and yes, you are right at there that a teacher should be more attentive to each one's aspirations even at first they are giving so much headache to the the mentors. thanks for this and likewise, have a happy day ahead ")

My son is one of the most talkative students in his class. I hope his teachers will get his attention. I guess they can't handle him that much. They always complain about his behavior. LOL. Every year they choose top 35 students and put them in a special class. My son is one of them. However, I'm not satisfied with his teachers at all. I hope they will change their strategies so that my son will learn more. He's a bit pitiful because my husband usuallly gets angry at him if his teachers complain about him.

You should feel lucky if you have such a teacher. It is not her fault to be kind, in the contrary, you should be thankful to her. If I had such a good teacher. Yes, I know what you mean. If the teacher is a little bit fierce, you will listen to her instructions. You can be friends and learn more from your teacher. Cherish you teacher and work hard, you will be a top student I suppose.

Yes, I was lucky and unfortunate as well. I like more strict teachers than very lax teachers. I guess if they are so kind, especially now, children will abuse their kindness. I hope they will also try to become strict so that their children will learn somehow. By the way, I am already a university graduate for almost nine years already. Thanks for posting and happy mylotting.

A teacher should always learn on how to interact student so that they listen and learn from hi/her. If a teacher just to teach only and don't mind what the student do if they are listen or not. She/He is not a good teacher...

Yes, I agree with you. They should also check if their students are able to understand their lessons. Their duty is to make their students learn. Thanks for posting and happy mylotting.

You're right, a teacher should not only expert in the subject he teaches but also have the situation in the classroom under control. He must know how to attract the attention of the students to be interested in the subject he teaches. When I was in junior high I really do not like a geography as we did just write, read and listen to the teacher, there is absolutely no interesting activities related to the lessons given by the teacher.

You just wrote, read and listened? Wow, how boring. I hope you had some class interactions. I also hated my subjects where we only wrote, read and listen. I guess those subjects were in my elementary days. My right hand was damn tired writing everyday. LOL. They said they were training us to write properly. LOL. Thanks for sharing and happy mylotting.

I enjoyed all my subjects back to my school life the boring one is the teachers who taught us. They're like robot that hard to smile and always have a serious face but sometimes they're making jokes I couldn't laugh to their jokes but what I am laughing was their face expressions LOL! Have a great day!

I had two boring classes in high school. One of them was my science class. At that time the Danish high school had two different lines: The language line and the science line. I had chosen the language line, but we had a science class anyway, and most of the us didn't like those classes. We were generally good at languages and bad at science and I was no exception. I found science very hard and not very interesting. The other boring class that I had was a history class. I didn't find history as such boring, but we had a really bad teacher. She had no enthusiam at all and it was so obvious that she didn't like the lessons or her subject. Her lack of enthuasiam made the lessons boring.

Oh, yes. If the teacher is bad, there'll be no any reason to be motivated at all. I just hoped that your teacher resigned if she didn't like her job. LOL. Oh, I didn't really like Science too. I hated memorizing scientific terms. Thanks for sharing and happy mylotting.

I hate History. I don't like memorizing names, dates, events, etc. Math is easy. You just need to understand and memorize the formula. I liked science when I was in university already. Thanks for posting and happy mylotting.

I like Science during school days but Math was my favorite. What I like Science was the experiment.Conducting experiments somehow answered some of my curiosity and questions about things around us that Science somehow could explain.I don't like scientific names that are quite confusing.

Wow, good for you. You are so lucky. We didn't have a lot of experiments before. I studied in a public school. Unfortunately, there were limited materials that time. I guess it was the same when I was in university.

Hi friend, you are right, teachers must know the tactic to cover the student and take the lesson in an interesting manner, it will help the student to listen the class and they will get good marks in their exams. I hate Maths in my school days due to the heavy problem and sum.

To me, history was boring back in grade school and high school. I could never (back then) figure out what some one did over 200 years ago, we needed to remember. But now that I've gotten older (and my husband is into history) I find myself researching subjects on the internet and finding that a lot of times history repeats itself. So, if you can learn history from the past, you can then know what could happen in the future.

I guess I got your point. When we were younger, we've learned to like some subjects because we liked our teachers. However, when we got older, we've learned to like the subjects because it was our choice. Thanks for posting and happy mylotting.

Oh, good for you. Yes, Science is interesting. When I was in elementary I was interest in Science. However, I lost my interest when I was in high school. However, I regret about that now. My son is interested in Science. He asks me a lot of things. I couldn't answer them so I let my husband answer them for me. LOL. We are opposite. I love Mathematics. It's my major. Thanks for sharing and happy mylotting.
