heavy rains again

for almost the whole day yesterday we had no electricity. it was raining non-stop and it felt so gloomy!
my kids and i were just in bed almost the whole day! we got nothing to do but i was alert as the water was rising outside and the wind were sooo strong. Good thing the water did not entirely rise up to the house..though sad to say there were parts of the city in flood right now.
it has been a long time since we had this kind of rain, well the forecast said it was due to the typhoon and the monsoon meeting. we will still be expecting heavier rains today.. 
good thing the school suspended classes today and my kids are at home..too bad we still have work. I am not up for anything today.

Sorry to hear about the weather you are having. Its nice to just relax and lay around in bed all day especially if you are spending quality time with your kids. There have been floods when we are as well but never at my house I live at the top of a big hill and the water could never rise this high. My father in law and other relatives live down in the main street and there houses got full of water.

yes usually the lower parts of the city are the ones experiencing the flood, some are now even in evacuation centers because of it.. luckily we are too in the higher parts of the city but we are still keeping watch because there might be flashfoods or landslides..

From what part are you jazel?
Here in the Bicol Region, it's rainy though also today. Yesterday was a bit rainy too.
Last night the electricity went out for about 20 minutes while i was cooking dinner. Good thing, we always have candles and rechargeable lamp and flashlights.
I hope it's not flooded in your place, jazel.

Zamboanga City, my area thank God is not flooded but the streets near my office is flooded.. and the lower parts of the city is flooded too. I really hope this will stop but the sky is still gloomy.

It must be Monday where you are. It sounds very gloomy. I am sorry that people are being flooded, and hope that some of the rain will go somewhere else. Be safe, whatever you do .

Well, I'm sorry that the weather, in your country is so bad. Also informing the network, I discovered that the Philippines is a country where heavy rains, typhoons and hurricanes, are unfortunately very common phenomena.
It was still wise to the authorities, the schools must be closed when there is this weather.
Then as I understand there is also the problem that such weather phenomena, you deprive it of electricity, and to the present day, without that, it is a serious problem.
I hope the weather will improve and above all it does not happen anything serious.

It is quite common all through out the year my friend. But if i could remember that well, it was not this bad especially during my kid days.. but lately things have gone from bad to worse

some parts are already flooded..and found some roof leaks at home again.. there were parts of the city now in deep water good thing no casualty or anything.just some damaged property i believe...hopefully the rain will subside by tomorrow.

Well that would really be the effect of the typhoon that we are hearing in the news.
Here, the weather is quite different, it is quite sunny and hot even though it did rain last night but just for a while.
Just be safe, alert, prepared and pray.
We'll be praying that it will gone and over soon.
