It’s equally common facts that minimum wage creates incompetence. It's in line for to minimum wage, and the hope of higher wages, that establishments subcontract jobs to the 3rd world. If employees were agreeable to work for less, there would be extreme more jobs. The regular price of items will go to where most everyone can pay for them. For instance, if the regular wage was lower, the cost of food would be lower, because or else nobody would be capable to buy it, and the food businesses would go out of business.

I heard security guards here in Dumaguete City earn P10 per hour for a daily 10-hour shift. It's unbelievable.

Still, it's still not enough to support a family. My first job here was at P8,000, exclusive of tax, and it was still hard to get by.

It depends on the standard of living of that certain place. I am here in Davao and the cost of living is not that high. However, its minimum salary is not enough to provide a family's needs. I have a friend who wants to work in Manila because of the minimum rate which is higher compared here in Davao. All I know is that she didn't know how hard and costly it is to live there.

in the government service alone, the current minimum salary or the lowest monthly income, that is the gross salary that one is earning is 9K. but it really doesn't compensate the basic needs of a family. how much more if the family includes 2 or more children? i would like to see the lowest in rank to take home 15K a month.

hi, for me i will demand to have a minimum wage at 500 in Philippine peso because the price of fare still increasing and even some items that we really need in our daily routine, the price of food and fare continuously increase but the wage is once a year or never sometimes.

I think they should earn 500 php minimum salary. The government here in the Philippines surely can afford that if it wasn't for the corrupt officials positioned there. I am really sad about this but like what the old saying goes, you can love your country without loving the government that you have, but if I get the chance to be the next President I'll take this as an opportunity to discipline both public people and government officials and make Philippines as rich or maybe richer than Singapore.

Minimum wage in NJ is like...7.25. I definitely think it should be higher though here in NJ and in Pennslyvania though. Philadelphia especially since its such a busy city, there's no way there isn't enough money for it lol. Like maybe $9 and up depending on experience. I started off my first job with 7.25 and my next job they upped me to 7.50.
