hard disk upgrade for me

Hey Everyone!! I'm currrently having a motherboard mercury PI845Z... I want to buy a new Hard disk.. so what is the maximum size of hard disk that I can use???

Hi there the maximum volume would 2GB of DDR RAMs and a maximum of 500GB IDE Hard Disk. I hope that was helpful..

Hi, Seconded, it gets along fine with what Jatelo2 says. Just be careful to choose the ATAPI IDE HDD. It doesn't have a SATA connection so you can't use HDD with SATA bus connectors.

Actually according to some specs I just read on that particular board it will only support upto a 320GB PATA. Although I can't see if a bios upgrade will fix that. Just incase you bought a 500GB and can't get it working fully. Goodluck

Rockon I think yours must be fairly old computer mother board--say more than 5 years. The best option may be to go for latest model ones though it may cost more.
