I haven't taught my dog any tricks other than to sit. she knows a lot of words but one thing i think is so cute and very observant of her is, cleaning up her toys. i always pick them up in front of her and she knows where they go. she doesnt put them all back in the toy box but they'll end up all pushed against the sides all the way around. i find them like this most nights, unless she takes her doggy to bed. what do you think? are there any things your dog may have picked up on, or make you chuckle?

That is really cute! When I hear things like that the first thing that comes to mind is what are they thinking about when they do that? I would love to know the thought process behind the wonderful, cute or smart things they do. She's such a darling little dog. You're lucky to have her. I have cats and my toy box experience is when I put the toys in and turn my back they pull them all out again. They don't try to help at all.

I have pictures of my cats sitting/laying under the Xmas tree. All the ornaments on the bottom half were cat-proof! Thanks for commenting!

i wonder that too, and i wonder if she or my family dog would be mad if they realized and turned around to see that the poop she just masterfully chose to place, perfect spot standing out there for 10 min, that I picked it up... i wonder what she thinks of that! haha fun to wonder those things. we had cats with my family dog but they never played with toys really. the cats just LOVED the christmas tree ornaments all the pets loved to sit under there too!

My dog has learned that that she has to scratch my shoulder to catch my attention. She sleeps in my room and when she craves for some playtime, she would stand up in her two hind legs and scratch my back or shoulder with one of her paws. I'm usually sitting in front of the computer all day. When I would face her and ask her "What?", she will lay her head on top of my shoulder and stare at me. I'm not sure how she picked this up but maybe it's because I also do this when I want my partner to stop playing Facebook on the laptop.

Dogs are so cool like that. I used to have a dog that would not sleep any where but in bed with me. She would have to have her head on a pillow and would not rest till she was under the covers. Funny dog having to be covered up and all. The dog I have now he knows when I have to work and about an hour before I leave he starts to mope around the house all sad and when I leave he sits in front of the door like he is going to block me from leaving. My family has told me that when its about time for me to come home he lays down in front of the door and looks at it like he is waiting for something or someone. Then about 5 minutes before I get home he starts to wag his tail almost like he knows I am on my way home. He is such a smart dog we were able to teach him to sit, stay, stand on 2 legs, lay down, shake and to jump through a hoop. He also knows when we go shopping that he gets goodies so when he sees us come through the door with bags he thinks that there is something hiding in there for him even when we have not gotten him anything. Its funny to see him all happy and excited cause he might get a treat, and to be honest we usually do bring him home a treat when we are out.

Hey great to hear about your intelligent and cute dog. It are so lucky that she is able to pick up things so fast and i am sure she will your biggest asset one day. Its always great when your pets respond so quickly and take up responsibilities, it feels like they are very much a part of your family. I have never owned a dog but would love to own one such one day. But i have seen many pet dogs at my friend's house who are very cute and intelligent like yours. What say?
