If you don't know the show Honey Boo Boo child played on TLC it's a show about a little girl that does pageants and her crazy family. Her older sister that is 17 years old and had her daughter about 5 weeks ago now and the babies family was caught on camara giving the little 5 week old baby girl Mountain Dew Code Red.

I watch the show quite a bit just because I'm a reality tv junky. Lol But I never heard about them giving the baby Mountain Dew! That is just ridiculous. I don't agree with a lot of things they do on that show or on Toddlers and Tiaras. I saw the episode where Anna (the 17 year old) had her baby and the baby was born with an extra thumb on one hand. That episode was titled "It is what it is" and I just think that's annoying thing to say for any situation. I also heard that the money the family makes from the show ($20,000 per episode) is going into separate college funds for each of the girls, including Anna's baby. So I definitely agree with that part.

Yeah I like reality tv as well. I don't agree with a lot of things either that I see on either shows. It was interesting to find out that she had and extra thumb, and you would think the doctor would have found that on a scan but I'm guessing they didn't do to many where she lives because of her insurances probably didn't cover it. I hear that to about the money they are making which is very smart I may say. I heard that a couple of weeks ago. I agree with it too. I even told my husband that when he told me about that in the care how June has TLC putting the money in to there kids account so that she doesn't spend and the kids don't spend it either.

No it's not a health risk but it is something that most doctors or ultra sound techs will find. They could tell with and ultrasound that my son's feet where turned more inward then normal and they where he is pigeon toed and needs help getting them to be straight although they will slowly get better on there own. Well it depends on where they live in the world and they live in a small area so little money there goes a long way. We use to live out in the country and you could support a family of 4 on $7.50 out there. You won't have a house but you can live and have a place to live. Now where we live that amount doesn't do much.

Yes, you would think the doctors would have caught it early on but maybe they don't see it as anything of a health risk. I know June said on the show that it makes the baby unique and they probably won't have it removed. I've heard that they pay their bills from Sugar Bear's job (not exactly sure what he does) and that's how they're able to pay for pageants. They have never spent any of the money from the show, but I'm not sure if I believe that. Having five kids and a grandchild takes a toll on people, especially financially.

As ridiculous as this show is, I have to admit that I find myself watching it! I find their lifestyle to be so crazy that it entertains me, I suppose this is because it's unpredictable and crazy. I have not seen the episode where they were giving the 5 week old kid mountain dew? Are you serious? Imagine that poor kids stomache?

They dont show it in the show. But yes seriously one of the girls gave the baby soda. I can imagine the baby having more then just a stomach ache.

I hear a lot of things that they do on that show and I can't beleive it. I have never seen the show, thankfully. All I can say is WOW!!! I can't beleive that this is actually being put on tv. But they are getting viewers. Maybe if the show gets boycotted by people then it will be taken off the air. Show like this are why some people are so nieve that they think its ok to do these kind of things. I personally am not or will not watch a show that puts things out to the public like this. Honey Boo Boo is one of the worst shows on tv. Why would anyone give a 5 week old baby that. DISGUSTING!!!

I watch pretty much anything on tv. I agree someone things are not meant for tv. Me and my mom friends we watch the show in shock of what the mother says and does and things. It's crazy and it's not surprise that the teenaged mother let one of her teenage sister give the baby soda. That is horriable for babies. I don't even give my 1.5 year old soda.

Honestly, I cannot believe this show is aired. The poor kids deserve better than to have cameras shoved in their faces and their every move recorded for "entertainment." You know they only show the worst bits, not the normal stuff that would make for boring tv.

Yes I know that is what they do. That is everything on tv even when it comes to the news that is what makes entertainment for sure and it also shows you want not to do sometimes.
