Cooking needs knowledge and intelligence.

Hi mylotters, Everyone says cooking is an art. But I would say cooking is a technology, Im not any foodtech or any cooker though. Just from a general observation, I would say that kitchen is a lab where all cooking elements are kept hyegenicall and close to hand and where 1. A sense of timing by which the food element are blended up in the right time and lack of which our food original taste wont survive. 2. A sense of quantity by which the food elements are dropped in the right quantity in the cooking food. Food prepared with any of elements excess is really irritating to me. 3. A sense of beauty by which a cooked foods are served well arranged and in the right occasion. 4. Education on food specially of how to protect and maintain the food value while cooking it. is badly required. Dont you think cooking is an important job to be done with much care and resposibility? Hey thanks for posting such a wonderful discussion. Well of course, cooking needs knowledge and intelligence and there is no doubt in that. Just by making good and delicious food does not alone mean cooking, it also includes staying alert and aware of all the cooking techniques, cooking etiquetes and the whereabouts of the usage of cooking gas and cylinders in a kitchen and not everyone can master cooking. It is definitely an important job that needs to be done with much care and responsibility. What say?
