Is the apple ipad 2 the best tablet on the market?

Hi my sister wants an Aple ipad for christmas, my mom wants to try and convince her to have a much cheaper tablet as she is only 13 and the ipads break if dropped extremely easily. I have an Arnova tablet and i like it. It is the same size as an Ipad and functions extremely well
What other good tablets are there on the market besides the Ipad 2 and which one is best for a 13 year old girl?

In fact I am not interested in Apple products. It is expensive and it is easy for little children to buy the Apps online by a mistake since the account already has your credit card information. I bought Samsung Galaxy Tab P6800 and I like it. It is smaller than iPad and it is much more convenient and easy to bring. It supports different video formats. It also supports flash. Whereas iPad may not support all of them.
