went to visit my parents house the other day, saw our little puppy is already big, it's a labrador named spike..he is so friendly and playful he love to jump at people and lick them.. what's funny was people misinterpret spike's actions and some are scared to go near the house.. my grandma is now complaining that she is losing costumers because they are scared of spike..naughty spike..!!lol!

Hmm, maybe your grandma should stick a big poster outside, stating that Spike is an over friendly dog. If people take their time to read the poster, no customers would go away.
No matter what your grandma thinks, I think Spike needs some training. It is not polite for a dog to jump on and lick all the visitors. You certainly need to work with him a little, to change his greeting bad habit.

Wow that is so cute. I am imagining the look of your dog now. I know that Labradors are playful. Some experts say that retriever breeds like golden and Labrador are not good guard dogs because of their so friendly character. anyway cause your dog will grow big, a lot of people will be scare to him. but for me Labrador and Golden is one of my "dream-breed" dogs.

Your welcome, I remember when I was 17 my dad and I went to one of our customer's house, they are Swiss living here. We were ringing their door bell when I noticed that they had two dos, yes they had a couple Labrador. When the gate was open we entered and upon entering I was shocked I saw the two dogs coming to us. I cant move as i was frightened. But then the owner said that they don't really bite guest, its just like they are welcoming us. They said that when you are outside their house they really bark so loud specially when they hear someone is coming but upon entering their home they're so quite. They even licked my feet and stand at your side.

yes actually we have 2 labradors spike the brown one and Amy color black,his mother.. it's a good thing spike is a labrador because i think his father was a stray dog..lol! we had 7 before but we gave the other 5 to family friends.. 2 dogs is enough i guess..thanks for the response..=)

Good that your labrador is sweet. We have 1 male and 1 female labrador. The male labrador named Bob is the cause of my finger's injury. Such a very bad dog. I don't know what to do to him, so naughty and doesn't listen. He has given me so much injury. =(

not everybody likes dogs;I like them but only if they are trained;my husband always says that he doesn't want people jumping on him and licking him, so he holds dogs to the same standard.

I am sure he is a cute dog. I love labrador. They are so cute. Yeah I would get scared at first too. But if i know his intention then no problem. Am sure your granny missing customers..lol. keep the naughty spike inside so that customers don't get scared.

i don't really let my kids near spike, it might trigger their asthma.. he created a mess inside the house!LOL!! also we think he is not comfortable inside, he keeps on scratching the door, tried to jump out of the window, he howled--scared my kids a lot..naughty spike.. thanks for the response.. enjoy mylotting riyauro..
