I had seen many kids with heavy loads on their back. I had just noticed on the last day while i was travelling in bus. The are asked to carry a lot of books as well food and other items on their shoulders. I feel sympathy towards them. Why there is no to react to it? Do your kid used to carry a lot of load on their shoulders ? How do your kids deal it or how do you deal it in your childhood days? I do not used totake all the books to my school. I just used to adjust with my friends Share all your views

Exactly that should be the practice. It is not necessary to carry all the books daily to school. If students need to carry all the books to school daily, what kind of education is imparted in the school? A private tutor can teach the student those books at home only. Why a schooling is at all required?

Kids should be trained, in everything. It is not bad to carry your books, you learn something out of it. I used to carry my bag to school and so did all the students.

Carrying bags with not much weight is quite OK but when the weights turns out in Kilos it turns as very difficult. Carrying them in two or more days is quite OK but how comes when a kid carry those Kilos on each working days ?

I still remember when I was a kid I develop this kind of shoulder ache because of carrying bags that full of notebooks and books. That time bags with wheels are not yet invented that's why we have to carry it from our shoulders. Up to now it's the main problems of the students specially public schools that most students are poor and can't afford to buy bag with wheels. Private schools have lockers to kept their books and nowadays e-books and kindle are already used by them.

Most of the schools have lockers in their classes but the kids are not allowed to keep or store anything in the locker. The thing they have to do is just carry everything on their shoulders

you are right and i wonder why they dont bring up a trend of getting a roll behind you thing like at the airport or some suitcases have. it would be a much better idea. anyway, they were even dumber in my day. kids did not even use back packs we just carried the books in our arms and its why boys would offer to carry our books to show either how much of a gentleman they are and how strong today it would likely be the girl carrying the boys books . young girls seem to have gotten to be the doer and leader in our country these days. its sad.

Yes it will be well wonderful and quite easy when government introduce bags with wheels. This will surely help in carrying their items but the thing is that whether the government of the others will promote it or not

I agree with you. It seems my grandchildren will go out of school with a heavy weight diploma. When I was a child, books and notebooks were smaller. We had a schedule and depending on the day we took the amount of books needed and the weight we carried. We did not take snacks to school: the school gave us some bread midmorning and we were happy to munch that even if it did not have anything on it.

But now this situations are really changed. The kids have to bring everything to school. It include water, books, snacks and other things. Those things add a lot of weight on their shoulders

Well i completely agree to your point. Whats the logic behind carrying so many books in the bag when the teacher can herself teach properly in the class. I too used to carry so many books, tiffin box and other items in by school bag and every time i used to return home complaining about my back pain. I wish if there is a rule where students are barred from carrying books and copies to school and also food will be provided to them at the canteen. This will be of great help to them. What say?

Yes it can become a good help to the kids But the thing is that no one is raising or standing against this issue. There are many protest for many other purposes but no only for this simple issue. I hope there will be any one like me who can raise their voice some where for the kids

I have been noticing the load of books that my granddaughter is having to bring home from school every day. It really annoys me especially since back problems run in our family. What really annoys me is there is a backpack that has wheels that would make it easier for them but the school won't let them use those because it might scratch their pretty floors. (that is sarcasm by the way)

I don't have kids yet, but I have experienced carry all my books to school and it really is not a good feeling after wards. I already feel tired even if it is still early in the morning. We were not allowed to leave our books in our lockers because the school thinks that is the reason why most students won't be able to do their homeworks and won't be able to study for their exams for they will be leaving their books in their lockers. I think that was a good reason but the kids really are having a hard time carrying all their books and it will not do good to them. I even think that was one of the reasons why I was not able to grow taller because I carry too much when I was young and instead of growing tall, I remained the same height as I were when I was in high school, lol. I remember dealing with it by leaving some books in our room without the teacher knowing it, but I do make sure I don't have any homeworks with that subject and I don't have any exams. That way, it lessens my burden everyday.

Carrying heavy bags on your shoulders on all the time creates many health problem and the shortness is the one of the perfect example of it. I think the government should make use or find any ways to reduce the amount of weight they carry. This will much helpful to the children and more over every one supports it.

I see that in our place. Kids with all their books in their backs. Fortunately, they are allowed (in most schools) to use their trolley bags. Otherwise, their little shoulders won't be able to carry their bags.

Well, backpacks on the backs of students, should be less harmful to health than any bags carried by hand (which force you into a position of non-equilibrium, then to bend). Many times it is talked about on television shows that students, especially elementary school children should not carry all that load. I remember at school, books weighed, our teachers will agree to let us put fewer books can bring to school. However, this argument of the weight that lead students on their shoulders, and thus the possible bad consequences for their health, it would be a subject of further consideration.

Wb, most of the school students are carrying a great bag full of books and notes, in fact the bag weight is more than the students weight. I am not interested in joining my son in a great school and spend lot of money for unwanted things like this. Students must follow the guidelines

Money cannot get all what you need Like this when you spend a lot of money for your kids education it is not sure that he will become the topper or he will become the best. Each of the student has it's capability to grasp as well as to study the things and a student abilities remains the same if he studies in any school, it doesn't matter a school with low fees.

Well it just remind of my school days when I used to carry load to school and what we have at school is that we were just asked to take out only half of our books and rest of them we just carry day to day as just loads. They don't tell us what we have to carry today or what they are going to teach. We had to carry all of them at one go and carry them all back home. Now things have lot changed now books are not even needed in school only notes to be carried and with times I think students need only carry tablet PC to their schools for study purpose or they may even start studying in cloud like what professionals are doing now.

Hello, It's too disgusting to see those kind of scenes. It's child abuse. I think those children don't deserve those abusiveness acts.During my childhood, I used to carry a lot of books also and its too heavy and its really hurting at my back. I didn't have any option those days because during my elementary days, books were minimal, so its up to us if we like to bring home our books or not.I want to have a lot books those days so I suffered to carry those even if its heavy.
