In order to ensure the continued safe structural integrity of properties and buildings, a number of processes are required to be carried out. These processes, namely, are those of predictive maintenance, in which a number of detailed sub-sectioned processes are required. The primary process which is utilised to carry out predictive maintenance is that of vibration monitoring. The process of vibration monitoring sees specialist equipment incorporated into properties which reverberate vibrations around the structure, before transmitting said vibrations information to those analysing it. The safety of the structure can then be assuaged. The equipment utilised is that of the transmitter and the 4-20mA accelerometer. The 4-20mA accelerometer is the item of equipment that serves to exude the vibrations around any structure or building into which it is placed. There are a number of variations of the accelerometer available and they are serve different purposes and are available to be integrated into a range of different structures, as owing to their inherent properties. Some accelerometers are resistant to high levels of pressure, others possess dual output and others are able to withstand high temperatures. The 4-20mA accelerometer and the 4-20mA transmitter work so effectively in vibrations monitoring processes due to the simplistic two wire system of the transmitter. All information is input and output through this two wire system, ensuring that any breakages within the system are easy to identify and, subsequently, rectify. Once fixed, it allows the process to continue apace. Do you agree that predictive maintenance is a necessity?
