how do you feel if you don't get paid for your work?

I get excited every end of the month. Why? It's payday! However, last month, I got so frustrated when I heard that I wouldn't be getting my full salary for the month. My boss said he was having a little financial problem so he could only give me 30% of my salary. I just had a deep sigh and.. well.. what could I do?

Hi kelly! I would certainly feel sad about it. But anyway, you should give your boss another chance. But if he will still do the same thing to you the next time around, maybe it's about time for you to decide.. Have a nice day!

That's what I did. Hope my decision was right.

I will be in big trouble if my company will only pay me 30% of what I should have. If this continue for another month, I suggest that you start looking for a new job unless you have some money saved for this kind of situations.

I thought about that, too. I hope everything goes well this month.

Wow!! Personally this would be unacceptable and not a place I would want to continue working for. There was no warning notice? If it was me I would be demanding more information and find out when they were going to pay you the rest and should you really want to work for them anymore. Either way, this is not a nice way to start your month.

I don't like it when I don't get paid for my work, and I honestly don't know whether I would still be working for them or not. They might be having financial difficulties, but the truth is that it is not legal to keep some of your payment from you. The only thing that you could do would be accept the money that he is offering to you at the moment, and then agree that he increases your salary in the future and once the company has enough money to do so again. If this is not likely to be the case then maybe you should try looking for a new job, but you should never give up on the money that he owes you, because you have done the work to earn it so you ought to get paid for it.

I hope that you will get the rest of the money that your boss owes you. In your situation my reaction would depend on the things that happened earlier. If it has never happened before, I would probably be willing to give my boss a chance and agree to receive the money a few weeks later. If it has happened before or if he breaks his promise about paying you in two weeks I think that you should quit your job and find an employer who is able to pay you for the work that you do.

Hi: My, my that's exploitation, and it is subject to labor laws. However, given the current trend of labor standard here in our place, having a piece of something to do and getting paid for just survival pay is better than nothing at all. If the great Karl Marx would have been alive today or if he knows the plight of our laborers, he would be writing his manifesto for workers all over again.

I thought of quitting my job, but the pay is quite high for a part-time job. He said he'll pay me after 2 weeks so I decided to give my boss one last chance. Hope he'l keep his word.
