Money for reservation issue

I know its not the first time i was victimize by the reservation issue specially if money involves like when i reserve for the house i supposed to be for the pagi-ibig housing loan i wasn't able to get it back, then now i reserve for the new apartment but decided of not to get it then it looks like im just giving out my money, can they just give us at least one day to think it over and reserve the house or apartment without them asking for money or at least 24 hours policy to get it back is theres a law that protects that kind of act, specially if your interested and the place is good and no other apartment left they will tell you that they can process to save it for me coz there's so many want to get it and they will leave us no other choice. I know its their business to avoid losing profit but they will not going to loss any coz its an apartment and a lot will going to get it. I really hate to think this act.

When I reserved for my housing loan, the lady i was able to talk with made it clear that I have to make up my mind before she writes my name in the receipt since it's not going to refunded.

Yes that's true though of course we really can't avoid if things happened in the future though they can just at least give us 24-48 hours refund if ever we change our mind or up to one week as what other do, my sister was so lucky to find an owner whose very nice as that lady even told her that she can still get the money back within a week if ever my sister decided of not to pushed through with it. Coz sometimes we can't think of other things if we saw that place is nice and seems to be perfect to us and that we really want it but then if we told them to think about it and will decided after a day then they will tell us that they cant promise coz they are also others who want it so if they will comeback the same day and pay then they can just give it to them, and of course that gave you a panic attack

You know, in this world, there are a lot of ways to make money. And that's one way they make money even if the property is not fully sold out. I remember reading the book of Robert Kiyosaki where he discussed behind the scene issues with regard to investing your money in properties. He said, "How is the game being played? Is it played in favor of you, or against you?".

Yes your right though there's no losing with property since the value of property is getting higher and it will no lost or stolen so probably the owner will really have a great business with this kind of business though they didn't think that it was us whose losing the money than them.

It's for their protection. There are so many people who will say tht they will come back aftr a day and then they won't. The owner of the house or apartmnt could have given it to the next person. If you are really intesprested, then ome back after a day. If it's really meant for you then it will still be available for you. Regarding house for sale, I believe that your rservation fee is good for one month. It's for people who are really interested in gettingthe house but still waiting for their money. If you are yet decided to buy the house, or woul not be able to raise the needed amount within the alloted period of time, then don't reserve it. Avoid wasting money by makin hasty decisions. Yes i understand though they can at least give us 24hours to think since there's also money involves then if someone will be interested they can just tell them to check next day for availability if the one with reservation money will continue then if ever they can just contact that person again and returned the money to me. At least both party is satisfied and no one left behind.

I am not sure if there is a law pertaining to such but my in laws also have several apartments and they impose forfeiture of reservation fee of at least a week.

Wow your in laws are good then,my sister said her reservation also in an apartment here owned by a doctor was given here one week to decide and after 3 days she was able to get it coz she decided to just stay with me instead, their house was ruined by habagat and they need to reconstruct it again. Probably it depends to the owner and just happened that mine wasn't cooperating.

There is a presumption that if we reserve something we are really interested in it and thus the owner of the property will not anymore deal it with other interested buyers. This is also the owners protection. Personally, if am not sure that I will be able to get the property for some reasons, I will not make any reservation. I always believe that if that thing is for me, I can have it.

Yes i know but at least they give within 24 hours to retract it, maybe next time i dont care if they tell me that someone might going to get it as if its still available the next day then fine if it wasn't its alright and better make thatnext time if i decided to get it then i should get it.

Yes,I have an experienced also that same scenario but in my case it was a lost reservation slip. I have decided to took a reservation slip for my convenience in riding a bus and for me to avoid the long queue in paying the fare. I was being disgusted when accidentally I lost that reservation slip from that day I secured one.So I went very fast to the terminal to report about the lost reservation slip and unfortunately, they refused to reissue another slip for me.They said, it was my liability already and they can not do anything but to give my reserved seat to other passenger. I was so upset that moment. They don't have at least a little consideration about my misfortune that day.I think the company should change its policy just for a consideration.In fact, I'm their regular passenger.

They should have a list for those who already have reservation so even if you lost your slip or ticket then you can still go, i know some are really like that and i hate to think of it specially if there's money involve as if were giving out money.

I also fell to this scheme of reservation thingy with money down and then I changed my ind. I never recovered my money. I am not too sure if there's already a law concerning this, but since that incident, I made it a point to not easily part with money that way. If they really want to sell to me, they will wait for me. I'd rather take my chances, I mean they're not the only players in the industry. If they can't wait, then they can take their products/services and I will just simply move on.

Yes your right, now i really promise myself of not to give out money immediately but then instead will tell them that i will think of it first and will get back to them the next day and so if they will tell me that others might be interested too then so if the next day there's someone got the space already then so be it, it means its not really for me and ill just move on and look for another place. Though i hope there's law concerning it specially to house reservation as there's big money involves as i guess some of them offered like 10,000-15,000 and even more for reservation only.
