Poverty is everywhere . What should be the reasons why poverty occurs ? Is it because of the kind of government the country have ? Has it have to do with the kind of leaders a country have ? Or is it because of the laziness and values that one is holding into ? Or is it because of unequal distribution of lands or it's because of destiny . Lotters hare me your brilliant ,loud opinions.

Hi, Our government is very corrupt. We daily watch the news on corruption of the ministers. They are not interested in removing poverty. They have only self interest and nothing else. But corruption or kind of Government or leaders is not the main reason. Other factors as you have mentioned like laziness to work, unequal distribution of land, illiteracy, having big family etc. are the causes of poverty. Luck factor is also should be taken into consideration. Some unlucky people born in poor families and they can't make progress because they are poor. Here I like to mention one sentence of Bill Gates - If you born poor it is not your mistake but if we die poor, it is your mistake.

we can say it is the government that is involved in it too and also the individuals. if one wants they can do lot of things and make their living. Some people have to resources and can do great but they prefer begging and live in poverty. Thanks for sharing and have a wonderful day ahead

I believe it is greed in individuals that leads to all the problems. We cannot blame governments if we elect them. I have a feeling that we must all bear some responsibility for it - every one who has more than enough and does not give their excess plays a part. Big companies with greedy shareholders squeeze out the little shops in our high streets. We should support the little shops but we don't instead we shop for convenience in one large supermarket where we can find everything in one visit and they can sell at lower prices, which suits us too. Nature over provides so there is no need for anyone to go hungry and yet small children are grovelling in the sand for grains of rice. I'm glad you raised the subject of poverty and I hope you get many responses.

I guess, the old practice of corruptions in the government system. Of all the needs to eradicate, the government system itself.
