I take herbal supplements and haven't been sick in years. Astragalus is an ancient Chinese herb (Huang Qi) known to support the immune system. I take 500-1000mg a day. Before that I took Echinacea with Goldenseal but found the Astragalus to be better. Vitamin C and Zinc are also very good for preventing colds. When I worked in an office and everyone else was coughing and sneezing I was the only one who was never sick. I haven't had the flu in 8-9 years. When I was younger I thought vitamins were a joke. Now I know better. Good luck in staying healthy!

I think you should be able to. I also saw it in an Ayurvedic website. I am very into Chinese and Ayurvedic medicine. The things that Mother Nature has given us are so much better than many man-made medicines. Here is a link about Astragalus that is very informative. I'm sure you will like it. www.umm.edu/altmed/articles/astragalus-000223.htm If you buy it make sure it's a good brand. Many vitamin companies make cheap products and some people wonder why their vitamins aren't helping. Studies were done and quite a few of the products tested contained little to none of what they were supposed to. Astragalus is a plant. The root is what is used after it's dried. There are other forms of it as well. I buy mine in capsules. Taken every day it almost assures that you won't get sick. I take other vitamins and supplements as well. But I think that is one of the most important ones. I hope you do try it.

The best thing we could do is to keep ourselves healthy. It would lessen the chances of us getting sick. Changes in weather really do bring different types of diseases. It's a good thing though that where I'm from, we only have two seasons - summer and rainy season. Although lately, rains have been pouring year-round.

I'm from the Philippines. If I'm not mistaken, tropical countries such as that of mine have only two climate types that are classified as wet and dry seasons.

Climate change has been the concern of everybody across the globe. It is an environmental disaster which will give a significant effect on the living beings on Earth. As for microorganisms, they tend to grow and change rapidly in hot and wet surroundings. As the weather is cold, microorganisms would develop in a relatively slow phrase which actually reduces the chance of seasonal diseases and bacterial infections.

so too here from where i am. though there is no winter here. drastic change in weather could really get to you if you are not careful. during daytime, it's so hot. then evening comes and it suddenly rains. making the hot climate even hotter. then dawn comes and it turns so cold. if you have a weak immunity, you'd get sick fast. good thing there is no winter here. at least we don't get to extreme temperatures that much. take care in your country though. i think drinking plenty of fluids would help neutralize your body temperature.

Thank you for reminding us to take good care of ourselves. I'm in the Philippines and we have 2 extreme seasons, summer and the rainy seasons. Predicatble as it seems, we must protect ourselves from those diseases. A simple cold can lead to a serious disease. Take in the necessary vitamins, vegetables and always bring jacket, rain coat or an umbrella at all times. Thanks
