Do you remember.....

Sometimes when we are out and about just running errands or out doing our normal grocery, clothes or just out with family or friends or even alone and we pass by people we have never seen in our lives some smile and some are helpful, and some just pass you by but do you remember the strange ones? I remember one day me and my daughter walked to Wal Mart and on the way home there was a Subway on the way home and I stopped to use the restroom, and there was a man not a worker some man that just was getting a sandwich or something and I told my daughter when we got out walk fast and she said why? I just remember the way he looked at me like that looks if looks could kill? And I have never seen this man in my life he was kind of scruffy looking, and it just scared me so I was almost running, and I explained to my daughter as we got farther away and she said she noticed that too, but would you remember things such as this? I just wonder what that was all about and it sticks in my mind to this day and it was over 3 months ago.

I learned a long time ago to accept what my body tells me. I used to think that if I felt something negative towards a person I barely knew it was just a prejudice. But funny enough, everytime I denied those feelings, I ended up getting to know better a nasty human being. I don`t mean they did terrible things, but they were all people those thoughts I did not share at all and who did not respect the rest. It seems that our senses tell us things without our knowing.

You are being wise, ja. It`s better to be safe than sorry. And there are many not so good people around.

I have learned to trust my instincs and feelings and just run when something like that happens.

Our gut reactions to people, places and some things is the greatest gift. This would have been a perfect situation and time to explain about bad people and how to keep safe in such situatuons. I know a book called Child Lures by Kenneth Wooden that talks about how to protect children in this world. I would remember such a happenstance and keep it as a learning experience for your child.

I always seem to double think myself. We need to go with our gut instincts. People don't look right to us- leave the area! Etc. I don't do it enough. But our instincts are there for a reason. Need to teach our kids that that funny feeling we get in our gut is there for reason. You did the right thing.

I guess we should always be alert. When a man looks at us with that kind of look, it's better to run away from them. We don't know what they are thinking. We should always protect ourselves and our family members. Thanks for sharing and happy mylotting.

I agree and it was such a scary look I just told my daughter just run I will explain later and kept looking back to make sure he was not there anymore, It is scary when you have never seen him before and those weird looks like he was crazy!

Well, dear friend, the human mentality, unfortunately, tend to remember the events very often ugly. We hardly come to mind positive facts. Indeed, there is a saying in Italy: "Make good, forget it, but you hurt and remember it!" You can not do anything, in my life I also remember the wrongs. I do not hide the fact that often I had also favors the courtesies, etc.. But unfortunately, very often my mind goes back to a time where maybe my childhood and my adolescence, where, unfortunately, to me have made ??a lot of bad things!
