Our cat is very sick and I don't know what to do

We have this cat with a mix breed, whose tail is really furry and fluffy, who seems extremely sick for days now. Te right thing to do would be to send her to a veterinarian but we can't afford one. We have had experiences with sick cats before, but this one seems to be the worst. Our cat just won't eat and when we force-fed her, she would just throw it up instantly. We researched on the net about it and so far have found nothing substantially useful. We fear that she might not have a lot more strength to go on and it breaks my heart seeing her suffering and seeing my sister extremely affected and saddened by this as well. We are not giving up hope but we really do need help. We are still trying to find out the cause of this, but we have a hunch that it has something to do with poison or something that she got from eating an insect or lizard. She goes out a lot lately to our backyard and she likes catching insects and lizards, so that's where we based this hunch from. Any professional or experienced advise would surely be appreciated. Thanks!

Hello Choybel, I do understand that you can't afford to have a cat being check up to the vet. there's nothing you can do about it and the cat will die if you allow that pet to suffer. She won't survive if you can't have her checked up in the medical staff. i am sorry but there is no other way.

I do understand your point both, but I just have to point out to Ms. Nailtech that sometimes somethings happen that are just unfortunately not in the right time as is this situation. It doesn't actually mean that we do not care at all for our cat, it just so happened that we are in a financial situation. Even if it was probably me who would be terribly ill right now I could not afford any medical help. I do appreciate your suggestion, I just wished you knew the situation more.

Yes I agree with you Letran, the vet will know what to do. Perhaps they will have a payment plan so that the payments won't be that high, please if you have a pet put some money aside for it in case it gets sick. I can't understand why people get pets and then say they can't afford to bring it to the vet when it gets so ill. It breaks my heart. I have spent a pretty penny with my own pets at the vet. They deserve to have health care like we do. Please do not hesitate to take the cat to a professional to look at her, or otherwise let them know you can't care for her anymore and pay for it at all and they might be able to take it from you to help her. It is animal neglect to not take care of your pets.

That is so sad. Having a sick pet really feels us worried. I haven't owned a cat before, but the best way really is to bring her to a pet doctor, if you really don't want to loose her. I may also advice just to give her support you can feed her or have her drink water with sugar, or if you can afford to buy a dextrose specialized for dogs and cats. I think that is quite cheap and you can buy it on any pet store. Dextrose will support her to regain a energy.

This dextrose idea is interesting but I don't know if anyone of us here have the guts to inject it to our cat, I highly doubt that. Still, I will check the net about this idea. Thank you!

I actually just checked, and you are right. I just don't know yet where to purchase one.

its not the injectable dextrose. the dextrose I'm talking is the one that is in powder form. It comes in a sachet size with instructions on the back. If you will consider this make her drink this solution. that's it, hope that will help your cat.

I just could not imagine what was going wrong with your feline, yet it has a similar sickness with our dog.He have ingested several strand of his own fur, that his digestive functions could not tackle well, that is the main reason why my dog was very sickly. It could not move just the way it should be,so if you love your cat have it check with a veterinarian so that the fur in its stomach could be remove and it would be back to normal again, yet that is if it was with that same sickness with my dog.I wish you could have it fix so it may still live longer.

I felt happiness upon giving some helpful tips to other personal problems. That is just alright and I hope your cat could be given the right medications, because only a veterinarian understands their body how it works.I never thought a fur was the cause why it lost its abilities to wagging its tail towards you.

I didn't really think about it, but you do have a point. Could it be fur that's troubling her insides? I guess the only way to find out is to really bring it to a doctor, sigh. I hope it is not that bad though. I just really really hope that it would recover somehow and gain it's strength slowly. Thank you for your contribution.

Well i feel extremely bad about the health of your cat and i am sure u must be very much worried and tensed about the same. Although i have never owned a cat, but all i can say is that she might have consumed something very poisonous that did not go well with her body and that is the reason she is ill and sick since days. I think u should go to a good veterinanian no matter whatever is the cost and expenses after all its your pet's health. U should try to avoid giving her heavy food and keep her on light and liquid food so that she can feel better. Hope she recovers soon. What say?

The veterinarian, as I have said is the best option and yet one that we could not consider because of financial status. My sister loves the cat most and a while ago she fed her and gave her milk. This time, she our cat didn't throw it up which is a good sign, I believe, but she would only consume very few amount. Thank you for your concern and suggestion.
