Childhood is a time of freedom where you don't have to worry about much. When you get older you get more detached and a lot more uptight. You also encounter a couple of problems from dealing with your hormones and the way your body functions as an adult. Can anyone relate to this?

I miss my childhood all of the time, because I just think that everything was a lot easier back then. I made friends with people and went to play at their houses without worrying about whether others liked me, or whether I would get into trouble for hanging out with a certain person. I will never be able to get back to that stage where I was completely care free, and I think that it is a great shame that it is the case. Although childhood didn't seem carefree at the time, it is only when we look back that we realise just how wonderful it really was.

hello~~~ childhood is a period of beautifull time surely. the things regarded as fail and unhappiness then are all light and carefree now. and whether the items we go through now are happy and carefree in the future is unpredictable . and who knows.

I absolutely can relate to you. I think all the time that when I was a teenager (14 or 15) all I ever said was "I can't wait until I turn 18" every time my parents wouldn't let me do something that I wanted to do. If only I knew then what I know now....I always tell my kids when they complain about wanting to be older to cherish their childhood and just enjoy being a kid. Enjoy not having too much responsibility, enjoy not having to go to work every day and pay bills and make sure that you have a roof over your head and clothes on your back and food on the table. I would give anything to go back in time and be a kid again.
