Travelling - Is it possible on communication lines?

The necessity is the mother of invention. This is true and people are thinking to transfer or transmit themselves through the common communication lines, whether wireless or wired form. If we think deep, we are doing this in some way. We can attend any meeting using video conference million miles away, though we are not present there but people can see and talk to us and they don’t feel our absence. Obviously we are present there virtually. I think in future this would also be possible to travel physically as what we have today, we did not even imagined a century ago. what are your views on this.

In terms of electronics maybe that is possible , but with human being seems difficult can't imagine how would it be done.

What we have not imagined 50 years ago, we are using all those things.

Hey thanks for sharing the discussion. Well yes u are absolutely right. The world around us has become smaller and we all are increasingly getting connected in one way or the other thanks to the present science and technology that has brought us closer. The people who are living far off places can be easily contacted and communicated with as if they are living in our community. The day is not far away when we can experience the same thing in traveling also. What say?

Thanks for the response. By now this is merely a science fiction.

That's indeed futuristic. I don't know if that would be even possible, let's just see and wait :). My major concern with that technology is how will our human bodies handle the intensity of that travel, anyway I guess before that technology happens, scientists should find first a way to travel faster than the speed of light.

yes, may be traveling on the speed of light is the first stage, and obviously we would not be traveling on our cars on light speed.
