I am living my with the golden of * do not do unto others what you do not want others do unto you. I used to be a sensitive person, i easily got hurt and disappointed but then i am tired of the feeling before when friend do something unpleasant to me I always question there friendship to me, are they real? but then so many acquaintances became friends still cant find the perfect friend in my perception. Then i realized that perfect friend does not exist, we only have perfect God who provided us friend perfectly suited in every situation....

Hey thanks a ton for posting this discussion. Yes u are absolutely right. i also feel that there is nothing called a perfect friend this is because no body is born perfect in this world. U can have good and close friends but having a perfect friend is nearly impossible to happen. except that only God is perfect and we should accept this reality as soon as possible. What say?

I don't think that there is such a thing as the perfect friend, because everyone does things wrong. I have some very good friends, but each of them has their faults. One of the major faults about my best friend is that he's got feelings towards me that I don't reciprocate. It is horrible because I don't like to lead him on, but I am not being any differently towards him as I've always been. All that I know is that my friends are always there for me, and if ever anything is wrong with me I know that the only thing that I have to do is go to them and they will help me out.

I think we should try not to expect too much of our friends. We should not expect them to be what we want them to be, to fit into our own definition of a friend. This is what usually causes friction among friends when the expectations are not met. I guess what I'm trying to say is we shouldn't sort of rate our friends - She's a good friend, she's the best friend, she's the perfect friend, she's the worst friend
