"Beauty is not in the face; beauty is a light in the heart." bu Khalil Gibran (1883-1931) an artist, poet, and writer.
His words are deep. He has pointed out a lot of important reminders or truths about life. But as human, we are blinded by the beauty outside or those that are visible to the eye. Men and women are always attracted to whatever that glitters and eye-catching.
In our generation now, have we changed? Or most of us are still distracted in a way or the other by these outside look or beauty?

Hi there!
It is said that beauty is skin deap.
It is true beauty lies inside our heart. If one is not beautiful inside then his outer beauty has no meaning.
No doubt that we are attracted by one's outer beauty and frame an opinion about him or her.
We should get to know the person in details before finally deciding whether he is beautiful internally as well.
Hope you are beautiful outwardly and inwardly.

You are right. But we are only humans and the eyes are sinful. Just never give upin looking inside the heart of each people you meet.

Yes we attracted to beautiful people even if they are not beautiful on the inside . I agree with you beauty is not just on the outside but also on the inside . Some people have beauty outside and others have it inside that is the balance of life .
I do believe that people that are beautiful on the inside , that is forever while who are only beautiful on the outside that will fade . So true and lasting beauty is on the inside .

True. Inner beauty lasts forever while outside beauty fades. Because outside beauty will fade that's why we try so hard to preserve it or prolong youth by using creams, surgery and other medical procedures to alter the effects of aging.

I agree his words are so true.. I look at the heart first, a way a person looks can change. Either for the better or the worst, depending on where live takes us. It seems there is some kind of fix for all of our physical down falls.. Which I personally do not care for. I do not wear make up, it makes me feel like a clown.. But as for most of the world.. Inner beauty is forgotten.. Look at the media, granted there are more "normal" looking people on television then even ten years ago.. But its still a most have... be a certain weight, have those designer jeans that cost way too much.. and in some cases people have to change their personalities just to be liked when there wasn't anything wrong in the first place.. If I had a choice to become one of those good looking people or just stay me.. I would be myself; I am comfortable in my own skin. I am not the prettiest or the tallest or anything else.. just me

JUST YOU! That is so true. You don't have to change a bit. If people really like you, they will. If they are true friends they will stay with you too. Physical appearance can change from time to time as you mentioned. I'm happy for you.

We are all decieve by our eyes. Sparkles, glitters and shine distract us from finding the real beauty that's why we should away see to it that we know the person more before we judge them.

What you are saying is diffinately true. Many of us are so busy looking at attractive people that we don't see their ugly heart. Men are easily distracted by a womens beauty. They can't see inside the womens heart wich is dark and ugly. That's why marriage is failing in our society. We fall in love with the wrong things or we think we are in love when we are not. To me everyone is beautiful.

Everyone is beautiful. We just have to see the beauty in them. beauty is not only the outside appearance but also the lovely heart they posses. I agree, that failed marriages could be because of that. I hope, once we are committed to this relationship, let's make it work and find the beauty in each of us.

I agree with you! Beauty is not only meant for good physical appearance. But also the beauty of the person inside. And I believe that the real beauty of the person is not only can be seen on their appearance, but on their characters and attitudes. :)

Hey thanks for sharing such a beautiful discussion. Yes u are absolutely right. Looks can always be deceptive and beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder as it is always said. We often are attracted towards the physical beauty and not towards the inner beauty which is permanent in nature. It is real and is always perennial in life. We should always realize this reality.

yeah you are right leateagee , a persons true beauty does not lies on his face , but in his heart or in other words beauty lies in the way a person shows his feeling to his subordinates , how he makes his feelings towards the fellow mate. in this highly technological word where people fix an smile over their face always pretend to be what they are not. so if a person shows his truly gratitude towards any person then never degreet him for his face!!

I agree with you too. Some people are pretentious just to be in a society that would accept them. People beautify themselves to socially in because a lot of criterias now includes physical appearance.
