If you give me another smile,
I swear I'd drop dead,
For baby it is lethal ,
It will kill me when it's gone.
If you look at me with those happy eyes,
I know I'd break down.
You act as if everything is alright,
But we both know everything is wrong.
I hate everything you do.
It makes me love you more each day.
You're making it harder for me to bear,
When He says it's time for you to go.
If only we could switch places,
I wouldn't feel this way,
For I guess leaving is easier,
Than being left behind.
If only I could look at you forever,
If only you could stay,
My world is filled with wishes,
Wishes that I know won't come true.
AN: This is a poem I wrote when I was in highschool. Inspired by my chemical Romance's song "Cancer". Well I know it's not that good. But I hope you enjoy it. Constructive criticisms are welcome.

It's cute! 
When I was in college, I used to make poems too.
Now, I can't seem to make even the shortest.
Before, I get to see lots of things and situations that makes me inspired doing them. Like for some, the ask me to make them a poem about their crush or loved one. It's so flattering sometimes. 
Keep it up!

I used to write love poems too. It's like the best topic to write about. It is indeed flattering when people appreciate your pen work.
Maybe you should try writing again when you have time. I want to read your work.

Hi Jambi! Thanks for the compliments. It is indeed nice to find inspiration from artists for writing. According to Newton he was able to be succesful because "he leaned in the shoulders of giants".
