I'm looking for information on how to get a place to stay when we have a tour to boracay. We are actually thinking of palawan also. Anyway its not easy to know where to get a cheap place to stay so we can save money. But I won't try to save on the food. I would pay for a buffet. Anyway I would be going with my sister. I think we better invite her friend also but we would pay for her also be the good thing is that her friend has been to boracay so many times so she has an idea on how to get their cheaply.

It will be really good if you could be with someone who already have an idea about the place, much better if you know someone who's from that place. Just like my friend here, their family is planning to have a vacation in Boracay, and since I also have another friend from there, I referred her to my friend and the good thing is they already get a great deal for accommodation and they can also help them in many other things when they get there... goodluck to your vacation and may you have much fun and enjoy!

nope, but they reside there and they also have friends who work in some hotels there. I heard La Carmela is a good place as well as the Courtyard I guess, if I remember it right.

In my travel guide book they have accommodation listings and in the whole of the Eastern Europe I have only seen one guest house listed as wheelchair accessible and it is in Albania. My disabled son is in a wheelchair and it is helpful to get a ground floor bedroom to stay in. Looking at the lists of accommodation most often they offer a single or a double room. I will need to get a ready bed for my daughter. You see we travel with my daughter as well. It is hard to find affordable accommodation. Good luck.

The internet can be very good to find things, but one of the main things that is is a problem is that there is now too much for us to choose from. In addition to this, you can't really know whether the reviews on the website are genuine or not. If you were to trust them then chances are you could book somewhere and then find that it was not the place that you thought it was going to be, or it wasn't as good as the reviews. So I think that the best thing that you can do would be to book through a large travel agent as you know what you're heading for then.

Hi, Its really part of the adventure, to go to unknown places for the first time. Anyway it is equally good to have a trusted guide that has been there to minimize any untoward incidents like you said, the cost of getting there. If I could, I would arrange the accommodations beforehand if possible. Tough way to find a landing zone especially if in the center of a driving rain or in middle of the night. Don't want to end up camping in the plaza or the police station.

I never went to Boracay. i know the place is so great. i think this season has a lot of low price hotels or inn since we are still in a off-peak season. resorts are not yet fully booked today so if your budget is tight it's the best season to explore Boracay.

Hello. That's nice! You are going here in my country. Palawan and Boracay are one one of the main tourists spots here. If you like the beaches, its Boracay. While in Palawan, you can visit the underground river and other nature sites. It is up to you. Or maybe you can go to Bohol where the chocolate hills is located. Because I have been there, you can do lots of other things and you can visit the nearby province of Cebu thru a ferry boat. I think it is much cheaper to go to Bohol for a vacatio where there are malls to visit, great beaches and more. Unlike in Boracay where it is only beaches, food. In Palawan, its more on nature tripping. I can't suggest a place to stay in Boracay. Maybe you can tag along your friend instead for a peace of mind.

Hey thanks a ton for the discussion. Well yes i can understand your problem and this is very much the same thing encountered by many of us. Whenever we are able travel to a different place, we have this habit of looking at the information about that place and try to investigate all the sight seeing places but u are very much correct in saying that it is very tiresome and exhausting to look out for those info on net and rather it would be better to explore by our eyes. But it would be handy enough to have some info about such places with us beforehand. What say?
