How do you deal with stress?

I get stressed out a lot at work because sometimes I have to deal with things that are out of my control. It helps if I just take a moment and just breath and say its not worth getting upset for. Worrying about it won't help me. Usually it works. Another ridiculous method I have to deal with stress at work is singing these words to myself. This is bananas. B-A-N-A-N-A-S. It usually perks me up..or at least gets me to giggle. What are ways that you guys deal with daily stress?

Well, that is one of the best things I have heard about bananas yet. And keep singing to yourself. It is a stress reliever as mood is involved, meaning happy or depressed, and when you sing you use different muscles. If you feel stress there will be tension in your body and it is good to break the depression cycle by singing or dancing or chatting to friends. You are on the right track. Always do deep breathing, slowly, and do it every day when you feel things are getting too much.

That is right, our mood is involved when we are stress. We can easily break the pattern of stress and depression by singing or dancing around plus chatting with people. Great advice!

The deep breathing thing works, just taking a few slow breaths can help. I don't like people to know I'm upset but it does help when they can sense my stress. Some of the people I work with will go out of the way to try to make me laugh.

Everyone gets stressed at work now days and you seem to have some good ideas on dealing with it. For me is to get away from the situation and possible take a short walk or restroom break. It is also go to not think too much about it because that will cause you trouble. Learning to let go of things you have no control over helps. Three deep slow breaths also can help.

Letting go of things I have no control over was a real issue when I was younger. I still feel myself slipping into my old bad habits at times but stress is a killer and its better to be able to just let it go.

I get stressed out a lot from day to day issues of life.During the day i drink Chamomile tea.Lay day and rest when I need to.I try to burn oils such as lavender, chamomile and frankensense. Sometimes just lying in the dark, burning oils, playing soft music or nature sounds will help and keep my eyes closed. At night sleepytime tea helps.

When the weathers nice I like to just sit outside too. Its very relaxing. I'd spend the whole day being lazy in the sun if I could.

I've got a few ways. I try to find the funny side about the things that are stressing me, as if I can laugh, the stress decreases dramatically. Sometimes that's not possible though, as not all stressful things have a funny side. Another thing I'll do is listen to some favourite, relaxing music, but if it's not possible in the situation to play music (say if at work), then I'll stop for a while and tune in to the sounds of nature, like the wind, the birds singing etc.

the B-A-N-A-N-A-S reminds me of a song, although I really can't quite place who sang it, but anyway...when I'm stressed and it is still, I believe, not too much to cause me any alarm, I just stop whatever I'm doing, even if I'm at work, and just prepare myself a cup of tea and take out my e-reader and read a couple of chapters of my favorite book. That usually takes me out of the stressful situation for a while long enough to re-focus and to calm down. If it is something that is really eating me big time, I book a spa and a facial and spend the whole day pampering myself. If I don't have the money for that, I just do it at home.

Its a song Gwen Steffani did. I think more of a moment from the American version of the office where Kelly finds out she is going to be training everyone in customer service.

I deal with my stress by giving myself a rest. And by that, I relax myself and my stress would go away.

I really get stressed most of the time- a combination of physical stress and emotional stress. There is nothing much I can do but just stay at home and be online for a few hours. I guess, just being at Mylot or chatting with friends are my stress-reliever.

When I get stressed with work I always long to meet my friends who can really make me laugh. Do the things that we used to do before. Watch the sunset if I have time. Eat my favorite food. And also I need to talk to someone who is always willing to listen to what I felt.

I find eating comfort food/junk food helps too. If I've had a super bad day nothing cheers me up more than friends and delicious food.

We all get stressed out when we are dealing with things... Most especially from work or any problems we encounter in our everyday life. My method of relieving stress it to take a moment. Have a cold drink, and face your problem. I don't usually deal with my problems all night, i try to make it possible to solve it by the end of the day. So, that i won't experience that stress that problem had caused me. Another thing i do is to take a break, play music, play piano and sing my heart out to forget that i am stressed out. For awhile it felt great and planned myself to fix any problem that i am encountering.

I watch something funny to lift my spirits up, or read my favorite book. :D Is that the line from Gwen Stefani's song? Now I'm singing it in my head too, hahahaha! That's a cute way to get your mood better. :D

Main basic things to get rid of stress are: Maintain good food habits like fruits etc and with regular exercises and yoga. If you feel stressed, dark chocolate will help in relieving it fast at that moment. Regular yoga and breathing exercises will help a lot. Some asanas in yoga will help great.Try to follow this and you see your life changed.
