A wife having another man, taboo in most asian countries.

I'm just wondering. If a man has many wife's its normally accepted. But if a woman has many husbands its taboo in most asian countries. I wonder why.
If you look at our family tree you can see that we are a big family simply because many of our relative has yours, mine and ours relationship.
Meaning a woman has child or children on the first husband and the husband has child or children on his first family and when they married and have children how they have children of their own also.

This taboo still exist. But only in Muslim countries. But i want to share another aspect also.
In Zaire, there is a tribe which is governed by women. There only woman have right to take any decision. They treat man as slave. So what can you tell about this.?

i think even in the western country, it`s still weird if the woman have more than 1 man..
can you imagine, if they have 2 man, and both of them, the woman make a s3x relationship, which one of the father if she pregnant?? the first man or the second man??

Well,for me, a man having many wives is not acceptable either.
I think that depends on each individual thinking.
I knew some women accepts that situation- living with her husband and other wives.
I have read somewhere (yahoo news) that there is a particular place wherein a woman can have other man or even live with other man aside from her husband and this is acceptable in their culture.

Thanks a ton for sharing the discussion. Well yes u are absolutely right, this has been a taboo especially in the Asian countries. Woman have always been thought of to spend their lives within the four walls of a house. But i think having more partners is not a good thing and even men should not have multiple partners. Why we should think the same for the woman.
