Animal interactions at the zoo

I love to interact with the animals. The best zoo I have found so far is just outside of Ottawa, Ontario. It is called Saunders Country Critters. They are a rescue and breeding zoo and the animals are hand raised. If you go for the week-end feeding tour and wait for the end the zoo keeper will bring out whatever baby animal they have at the time. I have been able to pet or hold fox pups, baby wallabies and wolf pups. Anyone else know of any great zoos where you can learn more and interact with the animals?

Going to a zoo is one of the best place to know the how the animals, birds, reptiles, etc live and what kind of food they eat. For children, it is a form of education. It was really fun.

Thanks for sharing this discussion. Glad to hear about the zoo and it would be indeed fun to feed and love an animal in person. This will definitely help in removing the barriers between a human and an animal. There are certain animals that we can even cajole and hug and i am sure the animals would be equally enjoying the company of human beings. What say?
