For a few weeks now, i feel like somehow i really need to strengthen my bond with the Lord.. that's why i make it a point to read some verse in a day or pray with my kids and also went to mass now without a miss.. i was never a devout or into such specific religion but lately i just feel like somehow He is calling me. anyways i do not know if it is a coincidence or maybe it is a way for Him to call me, my husband's sister in law invited me to join their life group. I was not sure what a life group is actually... but i told her ok i will join. it was held last night at one of her friend's house. I was honestly apprehensive and hesitant about it as i do not know everyone in the group but they have been familiar faces during my husband's sister in law's parties.. but i do not talk to them that well... so i saw them last night.. it was a first and a leader discussed about some verses in the bible and they shared life experiences and things like that. personally i actually like it, they did make me feel welcome and it was great and i am actually looking forward joining the group next weekend! Plus i got to know my husband's sister-in-law more.

well, that's good one, if you really enjoy and feel happy at heart to be there with the life group ,then you should continue doing so, mean while you also get time to understand your husbands sister in law, and can also know about the other group members, hope you enjoy your prayers and grow well in lord , and will be helpful to others too.

wow that's is so wonderful. I'm a born Christian a catholic to be specific. well when I was a kid maybe like 9 years old, we have joined an All Christian group which devoted to teaching kids and inspiring others through the word of God. Now honestly they are still active but I don't have any words commin' from them because some of my friends which I joined with are not here now. Is not really sad for me as I haven't joined them for years since I still make a point to say a prayer or read the bible. i can't say that I'm doing this everyday but at least I didn't forget our GOD.

Well i am catholic too and was raised one but in time i guess there are just ways in our church which i still do not agree with..i am still a believer in Christ but i honestly do not want to get involved in a specific religion. I have this thinking now that you can still love christ and believe in Him even if you do not follow certain religion.

It is one of the best way if not the only way to spend free time. I was once a member of a religious group for youth which was called Youth for Christ, and for sometime I was active. I don't really know what happened as to why I eventually stopped participating but somehow I regretted leaving it. Now though, I don't think I would be able to join any because I do not want to spend time in and on something halfheartedly. Anyway, I hope you will learn many things in this group you have joined with and grow more in wisdom, knowledge, and spirit.

That is nice dear friend. I dont go to such discussions anymore, as I dont see the logic. The ones where I had been, were more like personal tasks accomplished reports kind of. and some others were purely reading out the texts and what they (reader) interpreted of them.

Thanks a ton for sharing this discussion. Glad to know that u want to connect yourself with God and about how u are discussing about such things with your children. Now that's what i call a divine intervention, u had always wanted to be religious and see u have got a wonderful opportunity to be a apart of the life group and get more closer to God. What say?

This is an encouraging discussion and I admire you for taking action and not just thinking about it. Your children must enjoy that special time with their mother and you are sowing seeds into their lives. From what you have written I believe the Lord did call you into a closer bond with Him and this was confirmed by the invitation to join this life group. It takes courage to go alone into a group like this, especially as they were comparative strangers. We all need to share our experiences with one another as it builds up our faith not only when we speak but when we listen to other's stories. No-one finds it easy to follow the Lord and he never meant it to be a solitary walk that is why he created the fellowship of believers that we call the church.

Oh that is nice. we have this meetings once a week and the church members from our village come together and share the word of God and sing praise and worship. After that we discuss about the church and meanwhile have some snacks prepared by the owner of the house or at times brought by each one who comes to the meeting. I love attending life group. It makes me feel closer to God. I am sure it is your calling. Good to know you liked it very much and got to know your hubby's sister in law better. Thanks for sharing and have a wonderful day ahead.
