It is a common knowledge that vices such as smoking and drinking alcoholic beverages result to serious medical condition. The House urges to pass the sin tax bill on a pretext that it will save lives especially the young ones who are the number one consumers of cigarettes and alcoholic drinks.Do you think that approbation of "sin tax" or excise tax law will reduce smokers and alcoholic drinkers?

Maybe it will reduce the smokers and alcoh*lic people, but I don't think that will resolve the problem. Some people won't mind paying a lot when it comes to satisfy their vices- if they can risk their health, what is money for them to risk too.

i think so too jai. vicious people won't mind paying an arm and a leg for theri vices. Politicians know this too.Revenues will only go to their pockets.

I will say that car fumes cause health problems and so do planes, so do motorists along with rockets. As for smoking and drinking they already put enough money on those, also if all people stopped smoking and drinking there would be a lot of people out of jobs, you know those people that make these things. People who are addicted to these things will not stop doing them I do not think.
