Can you believe it?

I work at a government owned land, a compound where most buildings are used by the government officials, but I don't work for the government. We have 2 guards when you get out of the building and 3-4 more when you get out the vicinity (others may be roving at some point but I get to see them when I get out). The guard in our building usually does his roving before 11pm which he does floor to floor. But, I don't know why a robber got passed them with 4 computer monitors! Aha, 4 monitors. And another plus, our CCTV in the building is not working. Isn't that great?! We work inside a government owned property yet we get robbed and our CCTV is only for show! We're paying our rent monthly yet we don't get the security they should have to give us. I also don't think they are changing the CCTV after they knew we got robbed. The security guards even are already on their areas where they sleep when our shift ends. Sad, but this is reality. And we can't transfer from another office because we have been here for years and setting up for a new office will take forever

Hello gaizea that's negligence by the one who is supposed to monitor these CCTV's. how can the robber not have guts into going to the office if there's no one monitoring the place. not to mention that we lack the number of police force in this country, that's why they always find away to get out of the country.sometimes i wonder if am ever going to be safe even though we have the CCTV.

CCTV will never help when incidents like this happens. But, they can help find the culprit. Even if we have a lot of police officials, I bet they will not be that active at night when most of the crime and robbery happens. When we asked the building officials for the CCTV copy, they only told us that the cameras have long been not working. Purely for show, I should say!

im sorry for it gaiza. four monitors were robbed and no one saw it? thats strange. or someone knew what would happen and let this happen. or security isnt doing their job right. i just wish that you have more security. because more bad things can happen. imagine that someday some crazy guys go there and rob a lot of stuff and someone gets hurt? your company should be more responsible for their employees. so sorry for your situation.

Thanks dear. And no worries, our company is doing the security measures on our own without the building officials getting involved. Because I'm sure they will not do anything after what happened. The security guards must have not seen it because they might be sleeping when it happened or, they must have thought it he was an employee just doing his job. Even so, why wouldn't they wonder why he does work at night

Slow, lazy, people I should say. Security guards should have able to see what the guy was doing, but I guess they already were sleeping during the incident.

Makes us wonder where the taxpayers' money goes, not to mention that your company pays its rent to them.

I'm not sure if this building we are in is owned by the government as well, maybe it is since in a government owned property, but even so, we pay our monthly rent here we deserve the security we should get.

We know the robber, we just didn't saw him do it. But, we have a strong evidence that it was him. a former employee in our company.
