i know a lot of competition had experienced being in some kind of competition. either in school or any kind of small programs in their school classed. i think i have been in some not so serious competition. but i can't call that real competition. like singing or swimming or any sports competition or any school competition. i did try to but i didn't qualify. like the spelling competition. i wanted to do great in spelling competition but being a kid and english was not my first language. it was a spelling competition in english. we don't have any spelling competition in our own langauge as that would be easy. but english is very difficult so that would be the spelling competition we have that would run in the whole school and the winners would compete with other schools then to the national and then international school spelling competition if there was .

It is a shame that you have never been able to experience something like this, because I will admit that some of the best times that I have had in school have been because of competitions and things like that. I remember being part of the netball team which was good fun, and I was also involved in some things like art contests and spelling contests. I won a fair few of them, but even if I didn't win it never really mattered because it was the fun of being able to take part that was the most important thing rather than actually winning at the end of it.

I have also been in a situation like not knowing proper english spellings, but then realized i was thinking all spellings to be written as pronounced/sound which was wrong.I corrected and now 'no mistakes'

I would like to say that it's quite good for you to have this chance of competition. The results of this competition may not be so important for you and some other members, it's more important to learn from and enjoy the process of competition. You will learn to try your best, to appriciate the opponents, to raise your confidence and courage. And these are more valuable, I think.

when you are in school its good that you participate in any competition or extra curricular activities. It will help you a lot for yourself and it will improve your interaction skills with other people as well. if you excel in sports then join some sports competition like swimming, basketball, volleyball etc. and you will also learn so many things from joining. do not be afraid, just explore

It is really nice to remember school life. I joined some competitions during school days.I been into some quiz bees and competed with other schools,I also competed in sportsfest in school.I also ran in the school election and won as one of the representative. It is really nice to join competition.Quite scary and you would feel nervous but it really helps a lot to boost our confidence and teach us to become more sociable with other people.Losing will always be there but it where we learn to stand up again to win.

We all compete in one way or the other in even every day life and we may not know it. For example even here on mylot we compete to get money or compete to have people join in our discussion. We compete in getting jobs with other people. So if you look at it in this prospective, I'm sure you competed and you just never realized it.
