or just eat a balanced diet? and believe that by eating right we already have an intake of all the vitamins that we need daily no need to take vitamins anymore.

I take vitamins. I feel that a person would almost have to eat pounds of fresh fruits and vegetables each day to get the recommended daily allowance of vitamins and minerals that we are supposed to have on a daily basis. Supplements are easy to take, and they work!

I think that they all will work pretty much the same, what I mean is that I really would not choose one brand over another. I just get the ones for the need that I have. Like if I feel low on energy, I get the ones that say "energy", like "One A Day Energy." Or, if I want a regular vitamin, something to cover all the bases, I just get a multi-vitamin. You are so right, there are a ton of choices out there. Like buying fingernail polish, and there are 500 bottles of color to choose from, it's enough to make you crazy!...but I like shopping, so

I do both.. you can never be to healthy, i think. Vitamins has really helped me stay strong, and keeps my immune system strong. Since i cannot eat a balanced diet every time, i need vitamins.. I only take vitamin c though.

I also think that food is not enough, we should also take some vitamins or other supplements.

I don't take vitamins. I eat a balanced diet during usual meals. If we eat healthily, it will make us healthy. Take care.

I don't take any vitamins at all but my doctor told me, during my last check up, to take even vitamin C cause we really need it for protection.I would try to take even vitamin C and eat more healthy and balanced foods.

I take vitamins and mineral supplements. The brand you buy matters. Studies have been done to show that not all vitamin brands contain what they say they do. Some brands had nothing in them that they claimed they did. I don't believe you can get everything you need from food. Also, as you age food intake lessens and there are more supplements you need to make up for other things such as bone loss. I also take supplements for existing conditions (arthritis) and illness prevention. They must work because it has been over 7-8 years since I've had the flu and haven't had a cold in about 10 years. I worked in an office where everyone got sick 2-3 times a year. Except me. Sometimes I feel like I'm coming down with a cold but it usually goes away in a day. I firmly believe in high quality vitamins and supplements. I am an example of how they can work for you. They're not always as expensive as you would think.
