How do I earn through affiliate marketing

Actually I read about it for the first time a while back when I posted the question. However, I still haven't opened the site. I will certainly go check what's it all about. @vidhya It's a forum in which you can learn the basics of internet marketing. There are good pros and newbies combination. They are helpful in clearing your doubts there. No it don't pay like mylot but you can learn some IM and earn huge money for free. Cheers.

I am sure there might be some discussions here about affiliate marketing. However, I tried to specifically ask about my blog which is about Bollywood. So, I wanted to know what chances are there to sell items on my blog.

If your blog is based on bollywood, you can promote about the movies, music or ebooks which is related to your blog. Also you can promote the matrimonial sites, famous hotels in your place and other things in your blog and make money. Some matrimony sites are looking for affiliates, you can join with shaadi, bharath matrimony and some other sites like them and promote their banners in your blog and make money while your visitors sign up with that sites.
