Going in a back door sort of way to make traveling cheaper

In 2003 I had very little money and I wished to travel to Ex Yugoslavia. A flight to Dubrovnik would have been way over my budget so I got a budget flight to Italy. Then I took an overnight bus down to Dubrovnik. I camped in my tent at a campsite on the outskirts of that beautiful city. I carried on down to Montenegro, then spent more time in Croatia and then had a few days in Slovenia. Lake Bled was stunningly picturesque. Wow! I stayed in a private room or dorm bed and in my tent when I could find a campsite. If a traveler wished to visit Albania he or she could get a cheap flight to Corfu then take a ferry over to Albania. I know some places in Asia are great for visiting other places as well like visit Singapore and then pop across the border to Malaysia. One friend on My Lot is flying to Thailand next month and she is going to visit its neighboring countries as well. Bangkok has fairly cheap airfares and is near to Laos, Cambodia and Vietnam. Did you ever enter by a back door when traveling? Think of a country you could visit then think of which the other countries are nearby?

I would like to travel to Europe since they are the closest country to me in the USA. We like to camp but I think that backpacking through the mountains would be an experience that would have to be lived to be appreciated. I would also like to spend some time in the bush and really appreciate nature and all it has to offer.

I hope that you will travel to the European countries and go camping in the beautiful looking countryside. Yes, the mountains are splendid looking and Mother Nature can seem stunningly gorgeous.

One of the great advantages of being in America and having a job that gets one by(and therefore good credit) our travels are on the house thanks to credit card points. I think that having a great and cheaper way to visit a country is vital as the more you save on a flight the more you have to spend on experiencing the culture of a country. Have you ever thought about a travel blog?

I should start a travel blog. Yes, getting credit card points is a great idea. I love it when I secure a really cheap flight.

I have never really thought like that when thinking about travelling. I think I will follow your example next time I plan to go traveling.I will look at all the possible ways to get to my preferred destinations even roundabout routes that involve going via neighbouring countries.Especially as I fancy visiting some countries that aren't the standard tourist destination.Where did you find out these cheaper ways of travelling I doubt most people would know about them I know I am.If I wanted to find information like this out I would find out the views of experienced travellers.
