Hi fellow MyLotters ;) I'm a little excited. Next month, my Bachelor of Arts (Community Development) starts. I am studying this course via distance education however the University is located here in Perth so if I need major assistance, it is nearby. It is a very long course with lots and lots of different units. Upon completion, I am hoping to get employment within the local council. Studying via distance education is going to be different. Just wondering if any other MyLotters have done this? Do you have any advice you can give me? Thank you!

My alma mater now also offers courses on distance education curriculum. For me that is cool. And you need not go far from jome. That is advantageous to those who have to cross mountains or rivers.

Hi Mimiang :) thank you for your reply =D Distant education would be a fantastic idea for those who are unable to attend school on a regular basis due to a treacherous terrain. Didn't think of that benefit at all ;)

I went to college for education when I was seventeen. I have never experienced distant education, but we have this kind of education in our country, for people who desire to get diplomas of higher education at home via self-study. It is a good way of receiving education as it makes it easier for one to allocate his study time after work. Have a good day.

Hi Williamjisire :) thanks for your reply. Distant education seems like a great way of furthering education, I am hoping that it will mean that I can get a better job sooner, quiet possibly before I complete my course ;) Have a great day!

Hello Personally I have no experience on distance education. But I have information about this subject as one of my cousin have done it for his MBA, as he was doing JOB at the same time. Yes its bit different thing from the normal one, but yes it is very good for those who can't attend college for few reasons. So they can do their work with their studies. So I think its a good way of learning. And also if someone haven't completed his/her studies, they can do it from here if they want.
