for the past few years now, i have been seeing people dressing up on halloween.. as witch, wizard, and the sorts.. but a friend recently commented that these are pagan stuff, why do it? so for you guys celebrating halloween..why do you celebrate it? do you celebrate it because for fun? or for other reasons.. as from what i see, some do celebrate it for fun, for kids to play dress up and go to parties and get some candies.. and not for the pagan stuff.. there is nothing wrong with it as i believe.

My daughter is 2 years old and we are going to start the tradition of dressing up for halloween I have not dressed up for halloween before but because of some significant reason. Yes, halloween is what you make it. I think it's fun and I want my child to experience dressing up and trick-or-treating with other kids. Have a nice day!

Here some people do not want to have anything to do with Halloween and do call it pagan or heathen. I think it is what you make it to be. Some years my kids dressed up and went out, other years they did not. Sometimes the schools would say "You may dress up, but only as a book character, or a real person", other years school was out due to conferences so it was not an issue. Kids do love to dress up, I do not like the purchased costumes, but things that use the imagination.

It's quite similar to your friends opinion. Why we need to celebrate the Pagans celebrations if we do it to praise God. God hates Pagans people. He allow Israelites to kills those people that will influence them.

hi jazel_juan. we celebrate halloween as well. i get my daughter to dress up and we go to the trick or treat events of malls or here in our village. the first time we did it, my daughter was two years old and she was dressed as supergirl. of course, i was dressed as superman complete with the cape and the 'bulging' muscles! we went around our village, myself, my wife, and of course our little cute super girl!!! she was too young to remember but we have a picture of the three of us (minus the superman costume for me but i was wearing a superman shirt! lol!) i keep that picture with me at all times. this year, i'm unsure if we will go trick or treating but i'll be checking one of the malls later to see their schedule. i think my daughter will dress up as a fairy. i won't wear a costume though and just accompany my daughter as a supportive father. as for halloween being considered as a pagan event. i respect the opinion of others if that's what they believe in. personally, i think we make halloween, what we want to make of it.

I do not observe of celebrate this occasion. But maybe if someone will invite- why not- just for fun. Let's say a friend will invite me for a costume party then I will attend- for the sake of having fun with other friends.

Hello JazelJuan, Well, that's probably for the well priviledge people or some cities that welcomes halloween. however, there are some places were they are not usually honored or pay attention to. the only tradition that is done here mostly is the all saints day and I hang out in the cemetery for the whole morning.

Hi jazel, many kids dress up, and ask for candies just for fun. I remember I did it for many times when I was a girl. My kids are already grown up, and for the first time in 14 years nobody was dressed up this year here at home (that´s yours too). But my smallest kid for his first time enjoyed giving candy. Here at Mexico children ask candy on the 1st nov, more than the 31st, that is the all saints day, but they disguise as if it were for halloween, witches, pumpkins, ghosts, draculas, cinderella, angel, skeleton, etc. Some people disguise dogs too. It´s just a funny celebration. I remember I did many disguises for my children, witch, pumpkins, draculas, ghosts, monks. I enjoyed it a lot! Did you disguised your girl this past 31st? Witch, ghost, pumpkin? It´s not funny? Blessings jazel.. dainy

Any festive occasion to me is celebration of life. I am a hindu though, but i celebrate almost all festivals within my capacities. Though I never had a special dress anytime for halloween but I did once for a fancy dress party and I was a Dracula. These days, I mostly have a different avatar for special days. Like last Christmas I had an avatar of a Snowman (I still have that and love it) and somedays back it was Uncle fester and now it is Casper the Loving Ghost. But of course, I have and manage to eat some goodies every festival

I was thought that Halloween is a pagan. My parents told me it like celebrating the devil's birthday.
