DSL or cable?

I am exploring to change my internet provider. The comes to whether it is DSL or cable. Some claim that cable have higher speed but no stability because you share with other people. It can significantly dropped if many people in the neighborhood is accessing the internet simultaneously. DSL is dedicated to you. So even the speed is lesser than cable, but the line is not share with others. Bandwidth cap is another thing. An artificial limit is imposed on the maximum speed a customer can achieve depending on their activity of usage. If you have to decide, which one that you choose? DSL or cable? My kids are constantly playing online games and watching movies. They will yell if the speed is slowing down. My neighborhood is a new neighborhood full of kids and teenagers. Most likely, the traffic flow will begin simultaneously after 4pm to night time.

Well, you better scout around the neighborhood and ask who are their internet provider and what they can say about their services. Whether DSL or CABLE, your provider's quality of services must be in your priority list in choosing for your internet connection. Cheers and Happy mylotting!

Both of them are giant companies. Customer service is so so. Big companies, they don't care.

If you did want more reliable connection you can opt of higher speed bandwidth but of course this will entail additional cost.

I have both here in Mexico. And cable connection is so much better. Of course you pay more. I pay 55.00 for the tv and computer. But its well worth it. I also have 5 computers using the cable connection. ( as I own an internet cafe here )
