Whenever it is a payday, my husband and I usually eat out. We don't usually go far so the best place for us to dine is Mang Inasal as it is only few minutes drive from our home. We so love their pecho but what really makes us come back is that we can actually have as much rice as we want. I usually can consume about 4 cups and my husband about 5 cups of rice. I find their promo very appealing as nowadays, extra rice will cost you about fifteen to thirty five pesos per cup. So having to eat 4 to 5 cups of rice is a very good deal for us. We always leave the place with a very satisfied feeling. How about you fellow mylotters?

Yes, it is not really good for our health so we don't eat that everyday. Once or twice a month only.

It is sad as I like barbeque so much. Whenever we have gatherings here at home, I usually prepare BBQ because it is really one of our favorites. But yes, we can't actually eat that everyday as it can increase risk of cancer. Sometimes, I just add tomatoes in the griller so I can eat whole tomatoes. Well, I don't know if that can help but it can help my mind to be at ease knowing that I eat with tomatoes. I think I should try rellenong bangus next time. I like baked mussel but I don't have an oven here so I usually grill them. Are mussels dangerous for our health as well?

it's good to try it once in a while. we already know the implications but anything can be taken in moderation, right?

Yes, Mang Inasal is already famous for their chicken recipes. My office mates and I also use to dine in there and I think I can consume 2 to 3 cups of rice only. And unfortunately sometimes I can not eat that all.Good thing, we have that guy office mates who are willing to eat our left and unfinished meal.lol

@kokomo LoL! What a nice colleague you have there to eat your leftover food. That guy can go a long way in life. It is nice when you have a friend a like that. @murkie Yes, that is what I also know that they only serve one cup of rice at a time. You need to finish eating it before you can ask for another. But in the store we usually eat, they don't really mind at all. If my husband told the crew who is serving the rice to give us 2 cups, he'll give us 2. And we usually have leftovers. They don't charge us and we usually bring home those left over rice and chicken bones for my doggie.

d they charge for leftovers in your branch? in those that we go to, they don't. but htay have a policy of adding a cup each. we once requested they just scoop two so they won't have to come back often. but they said it is their policy to give one each for refill. nice policy, if you ask me. that way they could minimize the volume of unfinished rice serving.

I think Mang Inasal give unlimited rice every order. I don't like their foods. In fact I have more than 20 coupons in my wallet for discounts enclose when I applied my BPI credit card. None of the coupon I used to eat in any Mang Inasal outlet even in our place where a walk away from my business stall.

yeah we go to this resto as well. though not commonly on payday, my fiance and me would go to there if we want to eat more. like you, we prefer the pecho. though you consume more servings of rice than we do. anyway, there are also other places that offer unlimited rice. and we go there too. ahh.. it's so hard to stand up and walk after those meals..

Thanks murkie, we do stay there for a while after eating as it is indeed hard to stand. It is like you can stretch your body specifically the part of your stomach. We always feel sleepy after eating there and wanted to just sleep in the table.

Yes, maybe it is because we eat too much rice so we feel that way. Thanks!

i think it's the carbohydrates that makes us feel sleepy. and to eat such amounts of rice, well.. maybe you could request an extra serving of soup so you could at least counteract the effect enough for you to get home.

I enjoy eating out sometimes too. But since I am in my campus now, I am eating out all the time. We do not have many of such places which offer free additional rice. Every new cup of rice is like 40 cents. The only eat all you want you can find here is the steam boat or international buffet meal. Everything is there for you to eat until you cannot take anymore food.

Thanks squallming! I hope you're doing great at school. By the way, have you tried studying how to cook so you don't have to eat our all the the time? Yes, that is a common problem with living alone. I also do that when I was still single, I always eat out and rarely cook for myself. We also do have buffet meal in here, usually at hotels. Whenever I got the chance to eat at those, I usually avoid eating rice and drinking water or sodas so that I will be able to try most of the food in there. The problem is that when you eat rice or drink, you tend to feel full already and so will not be able to try more food.

Wowwwwwwwwwwwwwww haha that's a very tough food trip!:) I ate at Mang Inasal today but it was take out, so I just asked them to packed 2 servings of rice for my order. If it was before, surely I'd take 3, only that I am trying to lose weight this season so I am watching over my intake. Just glad to know about your bonding with your hubby.xD It's a heavy bonding! Cheers!

Thanks for sharing meowchie. I haven't tried ordering from there and eating the food at home because before, I thought that they would not give you extra rice. Now I know that you can still ask for extra servings of rice. Thanks for that information. I will also try to help my husband to lose weight as someone has already told him he has really gained a lot of weight lately. I think I am the one to blame because I really love desserts. I always prepare one whenever I have time at home. And lately, I've been cooking hot recipes which he really likes. I think I also need to do some adjustments so I can help him lose some weight.

aw sounds awesome but it's not that you have to make the food less delicious so both of you losses appetite for food lol! haha =D I love deserts too :( Sweets are irresistible we have to admit that! :( Yes dear, they will allow you to ask for rice =) I just haven't tried asking for more than 3 cups- but that is reasonable.. :D Hot recipes are indeed engaging to long eating! Btw, good luck on changing your habits. Do it soon, haha :) November is a time to control because Christmas & New Year season is a time which is impossible for diet ;)) Cheers!

I am sorry but I try to avoid such places that offer "unlimited rice" because they will only make me put on more weight. When we are in such a place, we just can't help but ask for more rice because it is unlimited anyway. So I try my best not to bring my family there because we can all gain a lot of weight if we frequent such places. In our place, there are so many restaurants offering unlimited rice, so I avoid going to such restos.

Thanks for your response cutie. I do understand you that is why we only eat there during payday which happens twice a month because my husband has gained about 11 lbs for the last 3 months. But me, I only weigh 98 lbs.

Me and my husband tried eating here a couple of times already and the maximum rice I have eaten here was 2 and half cup! My husband has gone as much as 4 cups in just one seating! The price is reasonable since the serving of the chicken is heavy and the unlimited rice is fun as well!
