Let's face it. Sometimes, parents name their children in a funny way and whether the child like it or not... it's already been given. But if you have a chance to replace your current name, would you choose to do so? if yes, why? and what? I don't want to give my true name here, but... Most people say that I have a name that sounds like a granny's name. But I really don't think so, I like my name especially when my dad explained to me where he get it from. He said he got it from his favorite novel and how he admire the main character, that's why he named me after her.

My mother gave this name of mine because of his devotion to saint and I'm thankful for giving me this name because I find it lucky to have this because it is not common and it portrays a holiness and God fearing. If I would have kids, I would give them name based on my husband's name and to our late grandparents who gave us a lot and prayed for us during those times we really need that most. I hope my kids will do that too, name our grandchildren based on what they think is best, with respect and God fearing qualities. Thanks

My name is very very common and generic. But even so, I cannot imagine myself having a different name. My parents picked it for me and I'm just happy it doesn't sound weird or anything.

i like the name i have for myself. if you have to reinvent your name, then you might be reinventing nothing. lots of actors and actresses do this and it still doesn't change anything. i think there is lots to names, but that is when you take the name seriously.

My name was a result of a typographical error on my birth certificate. But, yes, I like my name. It's a variation of a common name. Some people have said that my name is "unique". For me, it's not unique; it's just not a common spelling to what people are used to.

I like my name and also my first name. All my friends called me by my name. It's ok for me. It sounds alright and I wouldn't change it. Why I do this? To rechange after a time. No thanks.

I wouldn't change my name. I kind of like it since it is uncommon and have been given to me by my uncles and father. Though the pronunciation and spelling is a bit odd, I don't mind it. Like my real nickname is Mimo. It sounds odd to many people. I my entire life I've come across only 2 people with such a nickname. So you can imagine how rare it is. But I like it for that reason. It was a name given by a popular actor here to his eldest son. The name is derived from 2 great personalities. Mi from Michael Jackson, the pop star and Moh from Mohammed Ali, the legendary boxer. Although I use Mimo, not Mimoh. They pronounce the same though and that little difference makes me unique. We must all respect the amount of effort put behind the selection of our name by our elders and think about it once before changing it. Good day!

Fortunately I like my name. It's not a common name and I thank my mom and aunt for thinking of this name.
