Discussions Deleted

In this past week I have responded to a lot of discussions but have also had a lot of my responses deleted because the original discussion was deleted. Some I had an idea that it would happen and should not have responded at all. But others I don't know why they were deleted. Remember, they were not my discussions to start with and I only responded. But I do know that MyLot has guidelines for the discussions and if we do not follow those guidelines, we take the chance of having discussions deleted which in turn deletes all responses. This means that if you have taken time to respond to someone's discussion only to have it eventually deleted, the money you earned for participating on that discussion is also lost. It's been a good reminder since I have been away from MyLot for awhile, that diligence is required to paying attention to the rules, and taking more care as to what I write about here as well as what I respond to here is all important. It's not only important that I try not to respond to discussions that I think may be against the guidelines here, but also to remember that others are depending on me as well to make my discussions up to par so that if they respond to my discussions, they don't risk losing money for taking the time to participate with me. I think it is something we all need to review once in awhile just to make sure that we are doing this thing right.

It happens. Some discussions we are not sure whether they fully conform to guidelines. so we respond. later on they are deleted. Incidentally i do not see any tags for this discussion. further we have had discussion on deletion earlier also. You have not specifically stated what is there in your mind. please specify. good day.

Hi rav! Perhaps I could ask this to you because you have been here for a while. I also started some discussions about earning money, then one of the members put a referral link on his response. Will this affect on my discussion? Thank you.

Aries: We can give links of newspapers, youtube , discussions etc. which are not for canvassing. I gave link of one of my discussions in another three or four times and that was deleted. Your earning will not be affected by another member posting link in his response. of course when that response is deleted automatically your reply also will be deleted and your earning will be correspondingly less.

To Ravisivan, I don't know what you mean when you say that I have not specified what is on my mind. I believe I stated clearly what this discussion was about, but if you have specific questions, please ask. As for tags, no, I don't always tag discussions or responses. It is not required and not that important to me that all discussions are tagged. Therefore I choose which ones I want to tag and which ones I don't. It all depends on the specific topic and what I am saying about that topic whether I choose to tag it.

Have experienced the same. I guess there are still discussions which appear within the guidelines but the admin finds it is not abiding by their rules that is why some of our comments get deleted.

It takes a lot for me to decide to report a discussion or a response. I will give them the + or - ratings but not necessarily report them. If it is someone who is trolling and purposely trying to cause trouble, then I might report it, but will definitely give it a negative rating if it is on one of my discussions. If it is on another discussion and it happens before I have commented, then I just go away and don't comment.

Sometimes i use to think a discussion is violating -- but am not confident about reporting. but other members may report and such discussions are deleted even after a lapse of a few weeks.

I have been staying with myLot for several months already and one of the considerations I have whenever I started out a discussion is that I should not in any way violate the rules. I am very particular with the quality of my discussions because in the event that it will be deleted, I am not the only one affected but also the members who responded to it. Likewise, being a member of this wonderful site, it is also our duty to maintain the highest standard for the benefit of everybody. There are also several times that my response was deleted because the discussion it was under was also deleted. So I am trying to be very careful in making a response to a discussion. When in doubt, I would prefer to proceed to other discussions. We should be responsible with our actions. Have a nice day!

Yes it is a responsibility I think we should all be aware of that if we truly want to be here and make money as well as enjoy the discussions we participate in, we need to make sure we are posting things that won't be deleted. I've seen a lot of trolls and other malicious people posting on discussions from time to time in the couple of years or so that I have been in and out of MyLot and it gets very frustrating to have a good discussion deleted because of such acts. It is frustrating anytime you have spent your time here only to have that time basically erased.

Me too! I also received a few notifications coming from MyLot. And I find it a little frustrating because, I found out that I wasted my time responding to a wrong discussions. :)
