Are you familiar of the movie Hachiko? Well he was the subject of the film. He was a Japanese Akita dog known for being very faithful to his matter. In fact, Hachiko used to greet his master at the end of the train station everyday. But when his master died, and I guess he doesn't have any idea about it... Hachiko keeps going back to the train station just to wait for his master to come back. And according to the movie, Hachiko waited for 9 years on the train station waiting for his master. :)

I watched both versions of the movie, I hate The Hollywood version, Its based in a true story and they used White American actors for the roles. I found it discriminatory. The original version is really good because it shows Hachiko's story the original way not in a westernized and fictionalized manner. Hachiko's body is preserved in a museum. Another dog movie you should find is Mari and her Puppies. Its also true story. Its about Mari, A shiba inu dog who is pregnant and during the 2004 earthquake she saved her masters but the rescuers left her. that movie shows a mother dog trying to protect her puppies in a very apocalyptic environment.

I agree with you! They shouldn't used an american actor. They should have chose Asian actors instead of Americans. :)

Hollywood will never give lead roles to Male Asian actors f t has nothing to do with Martial Arts sadly. They were more accepting to Asian females though.
