A month ago I fell and hit my ribs pretty hard on the wood part of my couch. I went to er and they took xrays. This week my dr. called me and said she saw something in the xray that she didn't like so I had to go for another chest exray. Now I have to wait a few days for her to get back to me. Worried??? Oh yes I'm very worried about what it was she saw on that xray! Basically, this is why I came back to mylot to keep myself busy and stop thinking about the bad news I'll probably get from her. I'm making ammends with family that I haven't talked to in awhile and have had no contact with. I'm thinking I don't want to die having hard feelings with anyone. Yes, I realize I'm jumping the gun and crazy but wouldn't you be worried hearing that? I try not to think about it but I can't...it's constantly on my mind. How do you stop worrying about something that hasn't even happened yet and may not?

Keep the positive attitudes always with you. Never allow the negatives to inject inside yourself. It will put you down. Build a good confidence in yourself for everything and along with it believe that everything ends in good. This is how I see my life and I don't feel such huge temptations inside me for everything.

WEll, now I have to get a CT scan this morning and that makes me worry even more. There is something there and my dr. probably wants to get to the problem as soon as she can...

Hello, You are obviously overreacting, think of what worse can happen if they saw that on xrays, it's probably broken rib. You won't die haha. You are too much worried, really too much, try calming down. happy myLotting!

My daughter had a similar thing happen to her and one of the nurses that called her, told her it could be cancer. she worried for two weeks until she went back and the Dr. told her it was nothing to worry about, the spot was nothing. the nurse that called was reprimanded for saying things that she knew nothing about. I never really worry until I know something for sure. Seems we always worry about things but in the end, it was harder worrying about a problem and than it is solving the problem.

That was really horrible of that nurse! I can't imagine how your daughter felt hearing that. I'm glad she was reprimanded. Who knows how many other people she told that too. Not very good nursing as far as I'm concerned!
