Is Manufacturing Coming Back to America?

This may be just what is needed to get people back on their feet. Manufacturing of goods in America seems like a good idea. I would even say that if other countries wanted Americans to make their goods that might be a good idea as well. I hope that jobs are really there for the future of the American workforce. There is only so much time and so many ways to make this change. After all, with American ingenuity and freedom there should be the workforce to help make things happen.

Personally, I feel that an economy based on consumption is doomed.
The only thing that makes it work is substandard products that must constantly be replaced.
Manufacturers rely on selling the consumer the "latest" or "newest" of whatever. In reality, all it does is generate a lot of debt for the consumer and pollute our environment with stuff that quickly becomes obsolete.
