I rather ride in a jeepney because it cost me cheap. Taxi makes you high in costing. It cost 25 pesos for your boundary. The cost in Jeepney was about 7 pesos or 6 pesos for students or senior citizens. I am comfortable riding in a jeepney. How about you Mylotters?

Biking is good one for exercise. No cost at all. You can just sit and cycle your bike thru your work or home.

I prefer a Jeepney here in Mexico as well. Costs me only 4 pesos, each way. They also have several routes to take.

Hi cobalt20, here in my place we don't have jeepney, whereas bus and taxi are available here. Similarly the cost is rather higher to ride on taxi here too. But it's inconvenient to ride on bus for it takes a longer time to reach the destination. The 44 passengers bus has its fixed time and route to run. To save taxi fare people here are used to share the fare together with the other 3 passengers in the taxi station. There are such service taxis to pick passengers roaming along the streets, so we can wait at the front of our house gate for taxi Have a nice day

Though a jeepney is much cheaper than a taxi ride. I usually ride in a taxi in going home, it's safer, I believe, in my case. It is the only available mode of transportation during the early mornings, at 4:00 am. I worked on a graveyard shift therefore. Thanks

I prefer jeep because of its cheapness. Besides, if I am lucky enough, I have the chance to seat beside a beautiful girl. :)

I also prefer riding a jeepney for public transport. However, in my location i am living uptown and the jeepney's routes are just downtown my vicinity so i have no choice but to ride a taxi or bus but it's okay because my house and the mall, public establishments is a meter away from my home.

hello cobalt20! when i am not in a hurry i like to ride a jeepney cause it would take several minutes for a jeepney to arrive at its destination due to heavy traffic and sometimes traffic rerouting but when i am in a hurry and with several heavy grocery bags with me then i take a taxi for my convenience and safety.

I prefer the jeepney for the same reaosn. the only thing that i don't like about it is that barkers will fill the jeepney like a can of sardines. They care more about gettign a specified humbler of passengers than comfort. Sometimes,it's fair and sometimes, it's not. Also, the driving is much less than desired.

I rather choose riding a jeepney than a taxi. You are right riding a taxi cost a lot. The fare riding a taxi in a city is equivalent of riding a bus to the other province. While jeepney cost you less, you could at least maybe save 90% less of the fare on riding a taxi. Have a nice day always my friend.

Taxis are not quite popular in our place hence we have no alternative but take the jeep. However, there is an option which sometimes is even more expensive than a taxi, the traditional tricycle. When I have to go to the grocery, the bag sometimes is too heavy to carry and I have to walk at least half a kilometer before I reach home. If I take a tricycle, it's going to cost me something like a hundred pesos from SM to the house. No choice there, otherwise, I have to carry the heavy load but it seems more expensive than a taxi thinking that it is not even comfortable riding a tricycle. It is sad but there are no jeeps up to the house so it leaves us no option but take the tricycle, expensive though it is.

Riding a jeepney is really cheaper and I would have preferred it if not for the usual requirements of my job. I am usually wearing high heels and skirt, and carrying a lot of heavy folders and papers. I also have to travel to different places in a day so time is essential plus I have to talk to people. When I ride a jeep 12 noon up to 3 pm (it is hot in my country at that time), I will probably not look and smell fresh. So, yes, I have to take a taxi. :)
