I had been foraging into all corners of the Internet trying to find some genuine ways of earning money. And paid survey sites popped up as an option. I had heard about these sites a long time back but did not feel inclined to join them. But now I am seriously thinking of doing some work here. I have already joined half a dozen sites in the past week and am keeping my fingers crossed not knowing how much I could earn here. I would like to get more information from mylot users as to the genuineness and the money I can expect to earn from paid survey sites. Do suggest some real sites that Indians are eligible to participate.

I've done my share of paid surveys and I'm not really sure that they are worth their time. If you do decide to use a site try and find a site that gives you something just for attempting the survey because a lot of surveys are worth maybe a dollar at the most and can take up to a half hour or more. The thing that sucks the most about surveys that you get paid for is if you put in an answer that doesn't fit with what the surveys looking for you won't get paid and you will be stopped in taking the survey.

Well, that's a real dampener as far as earning on survey sites is concerned. But I will give it a try before coming to a definite decision on it.You may well be right anyway. Thanks for the input.

@jambi462 That is an interesting piece of information. It sounds like the survey is there to create false statistics that will then be used to sell products. That goes to show how many marketing companies lie with statistics.

I too have joined many survey sites in the past. There are some out there that really do offer you a legit survey, however, what I've found from most of them is that the "survey" offer is actually a false term, because in order to get paid for it you have to complete a certain amount of offers...which cost you money and in many cases is well over the amount you would get paid for taking the survey. There are people that will tell you just to take the free offers or trials and then cancel them before you get billed for that product or service. The problem with that is the more of those you sign up for the more likely you are to forget that you have to cancel it AND in many cases, if you read the fine print in the terms...if you cancel before your first billing you will not get credit or paid for it. So, my opinion, do your research on each survey site you would like to join. Also...don't waste your money on any of those sites that offer you a huge list of paid survey sites...do a search on your favorite search engine and you will find many survey sites that are worth putting your time in for. Lastly, as someone stated above, many of the surveys give you a pre-qualification screening for each survey and more times than not, one is not accepted for one reason or another...this has been a HUGE issue with me on all survey sites. I hope this helps and I wish you the very best in your adventures on earning an income online...if you're serious about earning online, contact me and I can send you some info on a legit business that is internet based that truly does work. :)

hi! just want to share my personal experience about paid survey sites. 2 months ago i came across these paid survey sites, done some research about these sites and found out that they are legit and paying. so i tried it out myself, i received survey invitations but for one of the sites i joined, halfway thru the survey, it would be cut short saying, sorry, but we haven't found any survey that will fit you or sorry, all the participants needed are filled. but the other survey site i've joined which is also legit shows the same message halfway thru the survey but you will be rewarded points that if you reach about 10,000 pts, you can convert it to cash. but that's a long way to go bottom line, yes there are legit survey sites but based on my personal experience, it wont be worth your time since it would be hard to get a survey for you to be paid for

Thanks Lizlee for sharing your experience. What you stated is true most of the time. It seems that even legit sites are not worth the time spent.

I am still filling in surveys, but they come rarely and pay a little bit, if you are qualified for it. I got paid so far $20 last year from one of them. I am member of maybe 5 sites, but did not reach the minimum payout. As you can imagine, they do have a minimum you can redeem, and this can be $20, $25 or more, depending how much they pay for one survey. More they pay for one, higher the minimum payout is. Nothing is easy, and earning online is not really worth your trouble, unless you have some spare time on your hands.

Everything boils down to the time factor. Taking surveys is an option if you really have some spare time. Thanks a lot.

As far as survey sites being worth it that really depends on what you think is worth your time. I've been a member of sites where it took me months to reach $10 or $20 cash out while I have other favorites where I earn faster. I was going to recommend a few until I read the Indian part, now the only one I can think of is Irazoo. They just announced a few months ago they are accepting international members. It's been my favorite for a while now. I've been a member since June 2012 and have earned $125 in gift cards and Paypal, mostly through the surveys and it didn't take much effort at all.

Earning $125 in 5 months is not bad according to Indian standards. Well, there are some positives in your comment and joining a survey site is not all that bad.

Most of time it is a waste of time compare to your valuable time. I know a good site which pays well.It is called cashcrate. But unfortunately their most of offers only available in english speaking countries only.:( basically for US citizens. But they welcome for all countries.

A survey site has paid me $50 after about 1,5 year activities. Usually, one survey is worth $1,25 - $2, and it can be finished within 30 - 60 minutes. Sometimes you'll be screened out if you don't qualify for it. Then, do you think it's worth it?

better not spend on these survey sites. they want your money.

In my experience paid survey sites are not worth your while. I've tried several. Every one is the same story. I take a qualifying survey which takes me a good five minutes then I'm told I don't qualify for any surveys they offer at this time.
