Do you watch movie with out your partner when they do not like watching that kind of movie or isn't interested? There has been many times where there are movies that I want to see that my husband will not want to see or what. I never make him watch those movies if he wants to he can watch them with me but he doesn't have to. There are movies he likes that I don't like that I don't watch with him so it's a good thing we have more then one dvd player.

That works out well then. I some times sleep when my husband is watching a movie I don't want to see as well.

Yes, there are times when I'll watch movies without my husband, especially if it's a movie that he's not interested in. We do enjoy watching movies together, but we also enjoy watching movies by ourselves.

I usually watch movies with my younger brother or my cousins. They're up to action, sci-fi and kids at hear movies from Pixar (LOL) but when I am alone or with my team, we would watch anime series and compilations. I usually watch movies online. I have sites in which we would check every now and then when we knew a certain movie would be coming, but we also tried watching movies in cinemas/ big screen then have a dinner afterwards. Me and my boyfriend also watch movies in cable TV ;) Then we would do our deed or things to do later on. Thanks for sharing your thoughts and happy mylotting :)

Me and my husband we have our differences that is what makes us, us. Some times we just need a movie time alone or tv time alone. We can't always like the same things.

Yes, I understand that. different people have differend concerns and taste. Of course you wont always love the same kind of things. However, it is great if both or more people together could fall in love with the same movie and we can gain more fun if we can watch it together.

You mean like the same movies not fall in love with the same movie. Not always not even the best of couples will they always like the same movies as each other. We like most all of the same movies but there are times we don't want to see a movie. Like I hate stupid funny movies and my husband likes them. I like horror movies and he doesn't. There are a lot of movies in between but even when there is movie we both like some times we just don't want to watch it at the same time.

I watched movies all the time while my husband was doing other things. We really never liked the same kind of movies.

When I was pregnant with my first child I was home a lot by myself so I would watch movies all of the time or sleep. I still do as a stay at home mom of two little ones. I have less time to watch movies on my own but I do enjoy it from time to time when hubby isn't around and at work. Some times we just don't like the same movies or don't want to see the same movie at the same time. But at least there are times we like to watch the same movie at the same time.

Well like any relationship, its all about compromise, because everyone has different genres. For example your husband/boyfriend may like action where as you like romance. Find common ground by picking a movie that has both elements. Such as this means war.

I don't like romance. I like the same movies as guys do but not all of the time do my and my husband like the same movies. It doesn't have to be the type of movie just what its about we don't always like the same story lines. I'm a tom boy so I like action films so does my husband. He doesn't like scare movies but we both like creature feature. But yes all couples like different things even if they like the same type of movies not the story lines do all couples enjoy.

Hi ShyBear Well yes and no. my wife stays away in a different city due to her work. and i cannot be with her because of my ill health. but when ever she is around, we do ensure that we get some movies of interest and watch them together on the Computer. We even watch those which we wouldnt normally watch just because either of us wants to watch. I guess it is because of our love and respect for each other that we do watch all movies together whether we appreciate or like the movie or not... and of course there have been times, when we have been surprised - like she never thought she would love the 12 Angry men or even the Schindler's List. And I had never believed that I would love many of the Bollywood flicks.

My husband I love and respect each other but we don't always like the same movies but we are together a lot. We don't get time alone much with two little ones but what time we do have some times we watch a movie together or watch something by ourselves if the other doesn't want to watch it. We watch a lot of things together.

For the most part, my boyfriend and I compromise on what we watch together. Luckily, he really likes to watch romantic movies and he'll ask to watch movies like Dear John, The LUcky One, The NOtebook, and The Vow with me. There are things he doesn't like to watch but they're mostly tv shows. Even though he can't stand them he does put up with it and he'll watch True Blood and Vampire Diaries with me, even though he hates them. Most of the time, we like the same types of movies and also dislike the same ones. However, sometimes there are war movies or movies about the military that he wants to watch and I end up watching them with him and I usually end up liking them. We don't really watch new movies without each other, we almost always watch them together. Now that he's deployed to Korea it's hard to watch movies together so I haven't really seen any new ones lately.

Some times me and my husband will watch something the other wants to watch movie or on tv. Most of the time we find things we both like and on rare times things we both don't like. Like certain comedies he finds funny that I find stupid. There are a lot of movies we enjoy seeing together and don't. My husband saw all of the Twilight movies with me and I've seen all the Harry Potter movies with him and some other ones as well.

That's our main bonding time, watching movies together with my partner. With popcorn barbeque flavor, hotdogs or pizza and a biggie soda. We make it a point that we go out at least once a month. We also go for DVD marathon in our place. We consume our weekends watching our favorite TV series and stuff like that. That is really quality time for us. Have fun, exchange stories and have some intimate moment just the two of us. Thanks

Oh that must be nice. We don't have time like that right now. I we have two small ones so watching movies at home is rare. But at least we do have alone time every night to yourself. We also try to make it a point of going out on a date once a month not always to the movies unless there is a movie that we want to see. We recently went to the movies this Friday afternoon. We watched the last Twilight movie. Some times there are movies that one of us wants to see that the other doesn't so we wait till it comes out on DVD or hit netfilx to watch it by ourselves.

Hi friend, good to know that you have more than one DVD player, so you have the ability to watch more than a movie simultaneously without any issues. I will watch some movies without my wife, if she is not interested with that movie, i don't compel her to watch it

yeah I don't try to get my husband to watch something that I want to watch that he doesn't. But some times we will watch a movie that we don't like for each other. But not often does that happen but almost always there is something that we both like to watch or want to see.

I usually watch movies with my kids or my sisters. Seldom do I watch movies with my husband unless it's on DVD or on tv but if it's at the cinema, my husband just doesn't like going out to the cinema. I don't know why. I think perhaps it's because it's expensive to go to the cinema nowadays. And it's not just for the tickets. We will spend money on popcorn, drinks, snacks and others. And the cinema if located in the mall, will find us do some unplanned shopping which will mean spending more money.

I like going to the movie theater and so does my husband but we only go every few months as a date night. I like watching movies with my daughter. my son doesn't watch movies yet since he is tiny still. We watch movies together all of the time more adult movies i don't get to watch often which normally doesn't happen till after 9pm when both kids are in bed or at least one is in bed while the other is feeding still or playing. 3 month old doesn't sleep throw the night yet. There is normally a few movies my husband won't watch that I want to watch or the other way around. So when that happens I just watch them with out him normally if he is working and I don't have a kid to take care of or we are both home and wanting to watch something else.

I certainly do. In fact I have a few male friends that I will hit the movies with on occasion too. He knows about it. I think it makes my boyfriend a little jealous but as long as I'm honest with him then he's fine with it.

I haven't gone out to a movie without my husband but I've seen movies at home with out him. When our kids are sleeping or when he wants to watch or play game on the other tv. Not always is there something us two like to watch together.

hi there! Most of the times me and my husband watch movies together. We share the same tastes in movies. Surprisingly, I like action movies, (which most men like) so whenever there's a new action movie, we watch it together. But I also like feel good movies, which we can call chick flicks, which of course, he seldom watches with me. Which is ok with him as well because he also likes horror movies which most of the times I cannot watch. So its safe to say that sometimes we watch together and sometimes we don't but its going ok for us. :)

Did I say watch things without parents? lol opps if I did, I meant partners. Any ways yes it is good to do things on our own and watch movies or anything on our own when others do not want to see it with you or you just want to be alone.
