Flowers for a gift or a Special Gift that you made?

I love gifts and I like it when people remembers me, but when it come to flowers, it's a no to be. I don't like flowers, it may be expensive but for me, it worths nothing. When guys give me gifts I always bring them down, why? Because they always give me flowers that would be forgotten for a few days. I'd rather receive a hand made gift or a book that I can always read and remembers that person. But flowers?nope, i hate guys you give me flowers and I always welcome guys who gives me books or a hand made gift.

I also love gifts, whether they're flowers or something I can actually use. To be honest, and to fess up, my husband never sends me flowers. 
. Even if I have to outrightly ask him about it, he will never give me one because of his reasoning that's similar to yours. I'm just a hopeless romantic so I want to receive flowers even for once. But hey I'm not complaining because my husband is a spoiler. I have all the latest gadgets, and stuff. But no flowers.
It's true that we tend to want what we do not have, in my case, romantic mee cries for some flowers, lol!

My husband wants to give flowers and I'm the one rejecting it, though it hurts him a little I have to tell him that it would be better if he gives me something useful, a gift that would last, so we had a baby, hehe, he told me I should not complain with his gift. At least he has given me a gift that won't be forgotten and our son will be with us for the rest of our lives.

I used to tell my boyfriend not to give me any flowers as I personally think that they're too costly and not practical for our budget as they just wither eventually. One time, he gave me a bouquet of red and white roses and they were soooo beautiful that I felt so happy and excited. It made me feel important and pampered. Now, I am looking forward to what he will be giving me as a present for our 5th anniversary.
