Hi everyone, tomorrow my best friend's birthday. I want to give a gift, but I don't decide that paying gift or laboring gift. I'm thinking to draw to his portrait and then give him. But he is like expensive things and I think, his other friends will buy expensive gift. I want to do different thing but I don't decide. Which one is more impressive ? What should I do ?

If it was me I'd prefer the portrait as you know that alot of thought and effort has gone into it. I'd favour that over wasting money anyway. If your friend doesn't appreciate it then he's probably not worth it. After all it's the thought that counts. Hope this helps.

I agree. True friend appreciates every little thing that a friend will offer. It's not how expensive you are giving, but how you give it that counts.

First of all, happy birthday to your friend. I hope is a mylot member here. Why you need to draw a portrait? All you have to do is to think and you choose expensive gift. Just read his or her mind like what is his or her favorit color. I hope you get my advice.

Wow, a self-portrait? If I were your friend, I'd really appreciate your gift. It's a very special gift. There's no price tag. You can't buy that anywhere. Go and paint your best friend. I hope he will like it. Make it really good. Goodluck and happymylotting.

Happy birthday to your friend. Here's my opinion, you must draw his portrait. Even though he likes expensive things, there's nothing much cooler than having a gift from a friends' hard work and dedication. I have tried drawing a portrait of my friend as well as a gift. She also like expensive things, but when I gave my gift to her and then saw it. She just cried and thank me. She said it was lovely. That's it. I hope i make sense. Because for me, there is nothing much more valuable than a gift from hard work and from the heart.
