New season of Hajime no Ippo

Hajime no Ippo is one of my favourite animes. There have been talks about a new season for years now. One of the voice actors said there would be a new season, there was a petition started by fans at one point but there was no result from it. There were even rumours about the new season of the anime being pushed later due to the Iron man anime being made by the same studio. Anyway, most of the information I found on the Internet is very outdated. Almost every discussion everywhere about a new season is outdated as well. Does anyone have or know where to find any new information regarding the next season of Hajime no Ippo?

2 of Ippo's new opponents on the manga are Filipinos and I always want to see characters from my , so I want to see a new season and see Filipino Anime characters, Ippo's opponents are more of rivals than villains so I can say those characters are actually interesting. He also have a new opponent who is a blond haired white American guy.
I believe the 2nd season aired around 2009 but it didnt make to the west yet you know because of the resurgence of American cartoons against Japanese anime.

Yeah, the second season aired in 2009 and I loved it. Many people complained that the season wasn't very focused on Ippo but I loved just that - the other characters (especially Takamura) were developed a lot and I love animes which aren't focused on only one major character. My favourite part of the anime is the fight between Mashiba and Kimura and my favourite character is Volg. Anyway, back to the new season. I can't wait to see Jimmy Sisphar again and of course Vorg. Please post a comment if you know anything about the next season of the anime.

I know, after all I watched it two years ago. I'm asking about the season after New Challenger.
